Selling Advertising Space On Your Blog = Huge Income

Selling Ad Space On your blog is one of the best way for making huge money. If you are having a blog with huge number of pageviews/readers, good Page Rank , Alexa rank , Number of Backlinks etc. people will surely like to advertise on your blog in any way.Users who are using wordpress for publishing their blog have automatic plugins by which they can sell ad space on their blog at their own rates.

But users using blogger.com as a publishing medium for their blog don’t have any such type of facilities. Some of them sell ad space via long processes like first e-mail them, then they will ask for your banner and image, then the payment methods..it generally ends in 6-7 replies. But there are some sites available now for blogger.com users which provides facilities of selling ad space in automated way.

Here are some sites which provides an automated way for bloggers to sell ads without any hassle:

1.Project Wonderful
It uses an auction style model to sell ads on your site which means there is no need to set a fix price for the space. Advertisers bids a price they want to pay and whoever pays the most gets their ad displayed. You can set days from a calender for which your ad should be displayed on.You can even set a Cap over the expense over a particular ad. They support various ad sizes and you chose what you want to display. They even have options where you can display multiple ads within the same ad unit. Earnings are paid out via PayPal once you have earned $10.

I will rate it 4/5

2.Performancing Ads
Performancing Ads is a new ad network that sets itself apart from all of the others in a lazy yet brilliant way: it exclusively focuses on the sales of 125×125 ad boxes on blogs. The launch was very good enough to attract users.Another cool perk for publishers is that you earn credits whenever your ad slots are booked. These credits can then be used to advertise your own site on other blogs in the network. The Pricing of your ad space is not set very properly enough. But Performancing Ads has a ton of potential specializing as an ad network for the 125×125 banner ad format used everywhere in the blogosphere.

I will rate it 3/5

3.ViralBlogAds
It is similar to Performancing Ads which focuses on 125×125 ad boxes. It’s a PPC advertising service so you need to get lots of clicks to earn some decent money. The registration is simple n Fast.Even the interface is easy to use. They have an exchange ads programme so if you haven’t got a PPC click ad for your ad spot they will show a exchange add and vice versa. Clicks are not the only way for you to earn money , they have a referral program that pays 15% earning commissions of your affiliates for life. And since its in the launching stage they are having a pre launch contest where you can win some exiting prizes. But I don’t think many people have joined it because I m the 332th member of this network.

I will rate it 2.5/5

There are many more sites like BuySellAds , OIO Publishers etc. which can be used for selling ad space on your blog.Hopefully, by using these sites you will start selling advertising on your blog or web site to earn good money. But do remember people will only think of buying ad space on your blog if have good pagerank,readers/pageview,ranking on different sites, backlinks and other major deciding factors.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

I use BuySellAds, they have a way more user friendly interface than these sites, and they give you an ad code to put on your site that redirects to your sell page, they’re the best in my opinion.

Thanks for top information about automating display ads on a blog. there seem to be plugins for everything. I usually use Adsense and the return to me depends a lot on the particular niche keywords that i’m focusing on with each page. GD.

Doesn’t a person selling ad space on their blog or website have to set them selves up as a business of some kind to take/accept money from advertisers? I live in Florida but I don’t know what the laws are about taking money from advertisers.

Typhoon July 2, 2010 at 1:55 pm

No, there is not any kind of of law as much as I know for my country..

It’s India..The only thing you have to look here is probably the taxes over your income.

how about the site with lower rank and traffic can it generate income by selling ad space?

Reply

Typhoon January 2, 2011 at 8:09 pm

Advertisers look for traffic so why would someone pay you to put his ad on your website if it doesn’t gets any good traffic? Better increase your traffic as it will bring more advertisers that are willing to pay you the costs.

I’m looking to get some ads up on my older sites and start trying to monitize that, I am just trying to better understand what value the ads are worth, I understand the count is measured on pageviews pretty much.

What do you think Typhoon?
