It looks like, rather than fixing the issue, the malware tool has simply been removed entirely:

    Causes:
One of the inclusion of malware / badware into your website can be sebabkan by the virus in your computer, update the website (upload the php file or html) through either FTP or browser then the virus will injeksikan some script malware / badware to page in the website without you realize before, so when scaning to google and find the script malware / badware on your site then google will provide direct Badware Label / Malware in their SERP.

    How to:
To overcome / eliminate Badware Label / Malware in the Google SERP, you need to do several things, including:

    1. Perform cleaning script malware / badware script on your website
    2. Request a review on the StopBadware.org
    3. Request a review of Google

Google have already said they know about this and are aware of the error. Goes to show though when you get to big you miss the simple things.

I tell you what, thank the good Lord that they’ve fixed this. Those kinds of warnings about sites harming my computer scare the bejeepers out of me. I mean, after all, getting a virus is about one of the most undesirable things you can do on a computer, short of looking up Chuck Norris.

I have to argue for the opposite team, though, when I say this is sort of ethical hacking. I mean, look at it objectively: they haven’t CHANGED anything drastically or altered anything that could damage a site, they haven’t stolen details and, overall, they haven’t been exactly malicious. I think this is more a case of boredom. Start investing in more YMCAs and this kind of thing will probably go down (well, maybe not, but it’s a good start!)

Well I used to have a very nasty virus once that opened advertisements each time I performed a search on google and clicked on a result. Not sure if that’s what you’re referring to but I hope not.
