Commenting is a much underated way of spreading awareness of your blog and brand, and even building backlinks.

Nice point about top bloggers noticing your comments – it’s worth putting some effort in and contributing something of value to the conversation.

Depending on which blogs you comment on, you can also generate some traffic. CommentLuv helps with that too of course
