Are you a blogger who gets bored while writing post? If yes, then Beware! It might kill your passion on writing someday. First you need to find out the problem behind it. Perhaps, the problem might be about finding idea. Or, if you are not a blog star, so your blog post has a small amount of comments.

If your problem is the 2nd one, you don’t ever need to be a blog star to get a large amount of comments. Here are some tips on how to get more comments on your blog post:

  1. Ask a question to the end of your post – This is a simple trick to make your post more interactive and impressive. Ask a simple question. It will make your visitors interested in sharing their ideas or opinions.
  2. Write a simple and informative blog post – The power of your blog is in the content itself. People will love to read your blog post if it offered them a good information, useful and understandably. So, write a post with a simple topic, so your visitors will able to understand your idea easily and then interested in sharing their ideas, too.
  3. Be controversial. Being a controversial blogger is not as easy as it looks to be, indeed. It will need a huge responsibility and last but not the least, your skill. However this could be the fastest way to get comments from readers of your blog post.
  4. Be a commenter of comments – Other way to interact with your visitors is by replying or responding their comments. It would be nice if you can address some of them directly.
  5. Create your community – You can start making a small community of bloggers or commenters. This is only a virtual community. The members are the bloggers who periodically write comments to other member’s blog.
  6. Blogwalking and leave comments – Blogwalking is one of the easy way to promote your blog. Visit others blogs, read their blog posts, and add comments or your opinion to that posts. Simply write your name and URL of your blog. The owner and visitors of that blog will see your comments. It will be a good chance to get more visitors as well as commenters, for your blog.

Other tips that are not-so-obvious: 1) Must be No-Follow Free in your blog script (no follow tags removed from comments), and 2) Use the Top Commenter widget for maximum exposure for your blog on Do Follow Diver.

Top commentator is the best way for comments and dofollow too (unless we have good anti spam plugin) There are so many appreciations for Top Commentator widget nowadays.

Those are some pretty good tips, especially #4 in regard to being a commentator of comments. I think that helps with spurring conversation and overall community building. It allows those commenting to feel comfortable knowing that if a point wasn’t clear in the intial post, they can feel confident in knowing the blog writer will clarify it by responding to them. Also, I think the top commentator plugin does help in attracting comments.

Its not necessary to reply all the comments.. When there is a need or when there is a query we have to reply to that immediately.. And also bloggers should moderate the comments of their blog frequently

I have tried “Ask a question to the end of your post”. I got more comments but one one answered the questions I asked. They mostly wrote their views about the content of the post.

Rest of the tips you provided have worked quite well for me.

Yes most of the people follow this. I ask “Did I miss something” to know what I have missed. Our readers are always smarter than us.

This is a good post.

Most people don’t add comments because they visit your blog/website to get something out of it. Very seldom they’re willing to give…

We do have a lot of … questions! We have a tax advice forum, and the participation has been impressive!

Comments section, if of course, the best place toe express ourselves and I don’t remember when I left a blog without leaving comments. I always ask something to ask for, or suggest or appreciate for.

@Sacramento Weddings,I love about point #3, be controversial. But i hope people understand the difference between controversial post and insult pose. If you want to critique about something, you need to prepare real data, what’s make you do a critique, what’s the fact, don’t just attacking people but have no data/in way to make people angry.

In my country, controversial post is popular way to get attention. A post about the reason about bom attack on july 17th in jw marriot hotel get more than 500 comment.

Anyway, also agree with sacramento weeding but don’t make it main way to get comment. Because it’s a temporary effect.

Being controversial always gets attention. I always look in comments who doesn’t agree with the post and what he says. :)

I would like to add one more thing: Switching your blog to dofollow also helps a lot in increasing comment count.
Hope this will help.
