your-blog-suck1Do you get few readers on your blog? Your readers don’t bother to comment on those articles? You don’t even receive a penny on your blog ads? If you are having these problems; Then you should look at these 21 Reasons your Blog may not be so popular amongst the readers:

1. Ugly Theme -
Selecting a prominent and nicely designed blog theme is important. I prefer using bright or semi dark theme, but it’s your own choice. The most important thing is to choose a theme that your visitors can easily navigate around and find out, and that does not irritate the eyes.

2. You hide your best articles -
Be sure to link to it you think are your best articles on the main page. Remember many of your visitors are there for the first time, and it is important that they can read your best articles, too, not just your last. There are several ways that can help you show off your best articles and the most commented articles.

3. You forget to focus on the topic -
Few bloggers write many other things which are not related to that current topic. Try to stay on topic you write about. If your readers do not get to read about what you promote, it is possibly the last time they visit you.

4. You do not recommend the second -
Do not be stingy! Have a blog roll in your links to other bloggers. This will be appreciated by those you link to, and the chance that they link back to your blog is great. Just be sure to link to blogs that have largely similar content.  The readers will also appreciate this. There is nothing in the way to brag a bit of other bloggers in your articles, either. Chances are that they brag back.

5. You recycle your Articles -
Many of us have done it, and I admit that I like to do it sometimes. Recycling of the articles is popular.Just do not make it a habit.Your blog needs fresh and informed articles, which can bring new visitors to your blog.

6. Bad headlines -
To put it on the tip: a good headline is perhaps the most important in the article.  Hmmm … It was possibly placed on the very tip, but there is some truth in it.  The headline is the first thing a potential reader notice. A good headline can get you lots of readers.  Think like the headline over 2-3 times, before you decide finally.

7. You rest on your laurels -
So you’ve written a new post. This year’s best, according to Help yourself. You sit well prepared in your couch, and waiting for visitors to drain down your blog.  The day after checking the stats and adsense or sales, only to find that almost no one has visited you. Disappointing is not true.  To write a good article, is only half the job. To promote it is more important.  Remember to ping the popular blogging services. Try using Twitter or any such services for spreading your article interest amongst others. Advertising on other popular blogs, can also be a smart way to promote your blog.

8. You ignore the typos -
Always read over your article at least 2-3 times before you press the Publish button. Even a single word or sentence could change the whole meaning of your article. I must admit that I am not always as good at this point even.

9. You write for many blogs at once -
Basically, nothing wrong in having more than one blog, but do you have the time for it? From 24hrs, you give the time to your work, meal and sleep and the rest to blogging. So do you have that much time to look on all those blogs? It is better to concentrate on a blog that you regularly update, more than you rarely have time to work with.

10. You write about everything between heaven and earth -
Find a niche you know a lot about and write about it. Okay Not that you are a master of the game, but the chance to have many faithful readers are less significant if you blog about everything and everyone. Readers like to know what they get. A popular niche can be blogging, celebrity gossips, tech related, fashion, photography, dogs, or personal development.

11. You are missing the patience and passion -
Do not give up even if your blog is not popular with a gang. They do not succeed with it.  The most popular blogs, have spent years trying to build them large and popular. Most do not think over this, and the that is why most blogs are abandoned at the first years of life. Have patience, and not least, keep the passion! Build up slowly and surely up ^

12. Poor Ads Placement -

Make sure you place your ads at proper places which do not spoils the readers mood while reading your article(which you really want). Also, Select your ads carefully and make sure they are suitable for your readers.

13. You believe that the revenue comes by itself -
Yes, there are several automated websites that earn good money with little work.  This does not blogs (there are a few exceptions). Common to the most popular blogs is that they have passionate owners, who blogs constantly and know that the revenue does not come by itself. Like everything else in life, the answer is hard work.

14. You are not using good keywords -
Many bloggers fails to enter keywords to their articles. Other writing bad keywords. Relevant keywords are one of the easiest ways for people to find your articles.Use the time and search the popular keywords, which may contribute to the articles will be noticed.

15. You do not listen to your readers
Last but not least: listen to your readers! Ask them: What should I write more about?  Let your readers get to participate actively in the blog, and listen to them. Do not use your comments to argue with your visitors. There you will only regret later.  Offer them new and exciting things; contest are always popular.  This will also give you new readers, who might want to follow your blog forward.

I hope these could be the reasons which might make your blog not so popular. So try thinking over these reasons and how you can avoid them.

Any other reason you think could be the casue of your blog un-popularity?

Other reasons include: having No-Follow in the comments, or not having an e-mail subscription option available. Another turnoff (in my opinion) is when the blog spends too much time focusing on Twitter or Facebook……..boring!

Having no follow may not cause much effect as most of the people not aware of it but surely the subscription options play a major role.

I’ve found that asking your readers what they want to see on your blog can have a down-side.

Pleasing everyone is impossible, so it can be more effective to stay on topic and write about your passion (so you stick with it). Points you rightly raise.

Don’t know whether it will have a down-side but I think asking the readers will be a surely a hit thing on those blogs who shares some tutorials or something like techy knowledge.
For example Amanda of bloggerbuster.com uses a skirbit widget in her blog where people add the suggestions for the next post which they want to be written by the Author. It could be a good way to know the troubles of the readers on such blogs.

I think its possible. First go with readers wish so that they are satisfied with u and then do what ur mind wishes.

Ah i think my mistake is about theme :P . I always think the look is doesn’t matter, i’m always think good content is enough. So, i’m wrong.

Anyway i’m 100% agree with no.11 , mostly blogger is fall down in the “middle of war” because their have no patience and passion. I have it. That’s why even 2 years, my blog is not popular, but i’m still effort :D

Yes Bro. My theme is some what not good too and its getting bad whenever I start customising it. May be I should switch to some standard themes and I apply it once everything is done.

My friend you have said it all. What do i have to comments?, As i have been online for 7 years, the knowledge i have gotten so far is what i got here in just 3o minutes in one day.

blogging is very lucrative if well planned and manage. Though i have seen the mistake i make when trying to make money online with my blogger.

I focus on money just as you have said it is wrong tag. Secondly i do not also post regularly. though i formally thought since my blog is billgatesguide.blogspot.com and it is a blogspot and i don’t have a domain name maybe that’s is what is also affecting it. but i came to realize so many people are still using blogspot to even become more popular then others top so calls blog. But i know i was wrong.

Domain name is also very important when starting as a blogger. and also building a traffic is also very useful because without visits there is no upgrading and earning online.

Thanks for this kind opportunity given to me to express my views. thanks a million
