Comments are the one of the main deciding factor of a blog’s popularity. Thus to make Commenting on SmartBloggerz with more fun and more benefits, I have done several changes in the commenting system which I think is really gonna benefit you all a lot. I have done 3 important changes which are as follow :-
1. Comments are now DoFollow! – You read it right; I have now made all comments on this blog DoFollow which will help you boosting your PR and rankings. Thanks to the Dofollow Plugin which helped me in doing this.
2. Link to your blog article – Another change I have done is that I have enabled the popular CommentLuv feature in this blog. This enables the commenter to leave a titled link to their last post automatically whenever they comment or they can also select any other post from their blog too.
3. Add your Twitter ID – This is the last thing which I have done in the commenting system. Thanks to Andy Bailey who discovered a wonderful plugin Twitip ID. Basically this enables the commenter to add his/her Twitter ID in the “Twitter ID” field. Thus helping to boost his/her twitter followers. I am really looking forward to this plugin success.
I hope I have done some important changes in my commenting system to encourage you to comment on the article posted here plus to post comment replying to other comments of commentators.

[Update 1: One more addition to this. I have added the ability such that commentators can now edit their comments before 3 mins from the comment made so that they can correct any typo error or false sentence. Hope you like it too.]

NOTE: You will find your comments dofollow only after you have crossed our limit of 7 comments. This will be done automatically through a plugin. This has been done to keep this blog clean and better from those one time commentators looking just for immediate backlinks.

Thanks for your Do follow thing. I certainly support the concept of do follow. There is nothing wrong in expecting something in return for meaningful participation. Of course there are spammers who would do anything to take advantage. Spamming is probably the key reason why any blog is no follow.

To Do that you have to change the no-follow tag to do-follow tag. It comes 2 times in a blogger template. So make sure you see the full html file of any template.
You can search on Google for it. It has so many tutorials..
@Typhoon, Simple put rel=dofollow after tag (i can’t write it properly since i fear the HTML tag is active in this comment form).
Anyway, admin, why the recent commentator sometime changed? It’s based on 5 last commentator or random for the (maybe) 10-15 commentator?

Keywordluv and commentluv is also the best plug in. Using these plugins we can get more traffic.
I have a doubt ..i commented more than 7 times….why i m not in the top commentators….do i need a gravtar account……..
You are now appearing..Actually you are having total 8 comments now which few more people are having and according to the plugin when many people have the same no. of comments in a period then they are arranged according to their names i.e alphabetical order.

for your efforts in keeping your blog dofollow and also heavily moderating it because deleting spam from legitimate comments takes a lot of time. I don’t use twitter but I love these two plugins a lot, CommentLuv and KeywordLuv. Thanks a ton 
I really like the Keywordluv plugin it is very useful for getting good keyworded backlinks to your website. Thankyou for making our links dofollow this should also help with our websites se ranking.

Do follow is a great feature to allow your readers to benefit from contributing to your site. They get a beneficial back link while the blogger gets increased relevant discussion. A win-win for both parties really.

Yes, trend has change. If in the past, blog admin turn off their do follow or even comment form because fear of spam, now their open it up and add do follow. Because nowadays, people do almost anything to get visitor (contest, do follow comment, top commentator, twitter exposure, paying member, freebies, etc)

May be because Spammers also spam no follow nowadays and bloggers have thought its good to be dofollow and spammed

I’ve been toying with the idea of installing CommentLuv and possibly KeywordLub, but can’t make up my mind.
I’ve read a few articles explaining the benefits of using them but sites like Pro Blog Design have stopped using CommentLuv, so I’m a bit suspicious.
I’ll have to think a bit more about it….
BTW Lots of interesting articles on your site.
I would like to know what reason makes pro blog design disactivate it. Maybe their have not strong enough spam prevention plug-in?

Typhoon, i come up here and reading update #1, but also in the part of article you said Ajax is removed already. What is the problem? I hope it’s enabled again please since i think it’s needed. How about to make a vote? If there is problem with Ajax, just use another plug-in which have same function.

Nice list of comment wordpress plugins. I am using ajax comment edit function too on my blog. It helps the commentators to edit any mistakes easily before it goes for moderation.
I think these plugins help make more people participate in your blog. Just make sure you moderate them. It might be a bit of work, but it definitely increases participation.
