Submission tools are great, but I do it the old fashioned way– each one by hand. I look at each directory differently, and determine which category is closest to the Main (highest PR) Page, whether its “Shopping => Weddings” or “Arts => Music”. Relevancy is important, and the “auto submitter software” doesn’t know how to pick the most relevant category from a directory. Also, its possible to “Vary the anchor text” more often, when you submit manually. Mine varies from “Sacramento DJs” or “Sacramento Wedding DJs” or the KW in my name (above).

I know you don’t like automatic submission software but lemme tell you that this tool is not fully automatic. It’s a Semi-automatic. This tool just fills in the common details(Title,Description,Name,E-mail ID,Meta Keywords). Rest you have to choose and fill i.e you have to select your category by your own hands and then fill in the CAPTCHA Test and click Submit.
The sites easily opens in one frame in the software on the left and after properly loading; the tool fills the common details and then you have do those two things. Simple.

Yup, The directories used in this tool have a free submission as well as paid submission. Thus you can submit your site for free also.

Btw, there is another alternative, rent people to do submission, you can find this service on many forum and it’s cheap (just for $2-$3) but i’m not recommend it since some of them is scam
