And when someone thinks of a way to make money from their website, blog or their efforts on discussion forums, social networks, on content accepting websites etc, Google Adsense is the only most trusted method that comes in our minds.
So in today post, I’m going to discuss some strategies one can follow to increase their overall Google Adsense earnings:
- Adsense widgets in your websites: this is one of the most known and used method where people use Google Adsense widgets in their websites and blogs. Some of best converting and most used Google Adsense formats are 728 x 90, 468 x 60, 120×600, 160×600, 250 x 250, 300 x 250, 336 x 280 etc. You can increase your Adsense earnings by blending Google Adsense ads with the rest of content on your website.
- Discussion forums: there are many discussion forums available on internet that share some percentage of their revenue generated from Google Adsense with their users. But you must have a Google Adsense account in order to get some revenue in your pocket. Some of popular discussion forums created around internet marketing, seo, blogging, affiliate marketing, search engines and which share their Adsense earnings with its members are: Digital point forum, Work from Home Forum, IDN domain Forum, Domain Name Portal, Nameslot.com, Webmasters Forums, NamePros.Com, Bloggeries Forum etc. So make it a habit to give some time on daily basis to these forums where you will be able to get generate some link love, money and knowledge for yourself.
- Using Google Adsense Search: you can think of implementing Google Adsense search in your website or blog which will help your website readers to find the topics they want to find on your website or internet by making search with the keywords of their choice and thus help you generate more money for you also give better experience to your website readers while browsing it.
- Adsense Ads in RSS Feed: if you have a popular blog with thousand of RSS Subscribers, then adding Google Adsense Ads in your RSS Feed will be a great idea to increase your Adsense earnings to some extent. If you want to try this technique, burn your RSS Feed using FeedBurner as this service is available to RSS Feeds generated by FeedBurner, a service provided by Google.
- Topical pages: there are some highly popular and trusted websites available on internet where you can simply go and create pages about the topics of your interest for free and get some share of revenue generated by Google Adsense ads placed on the pages created by you. Some of such websites are Google Know, Squidoo and Hubpages.
- Social community websites: there are many social communities where you will be able to make some revenue with your Google Adsense ads whether you are sharing a video, image, text or writing your personal blogs. Websites like Flixya shares 100 percent of revenue generated from your efforts. Some other social community websites you can try are Flixya, Xomba, Yuwie and eHow.

I wonder how it works when discussion forums share their adsense income with their users – how do they decide who gets how much?

Actually the thing is that they keep certain amount of percentage which decides when your ad will be shown on that post and when will their..
For example if a forum is having 50% revenue sharing and suppose you create a new topic. Now for first view it will show your adsense ads then for next view their adsense ads will be shown and then again yours and so on..
I hope you solves your question.

Great Post.
If you can make your ads blend in with content, then theres always more chance of getting higher click through rate. I dont like revenue forums as you almost never make any money.

You have to be highly active in such revenue sharing forums in order to receive some success…But I agree that it’s hard and even I haven’t made any big amount of money from those forums. If I remember properly, I have made not more than $5-$6 from those kind of forums..

AdSense search is something more people should use. Thanks to Google it takes no power from your host and you make money on it. The best thing is that you can include it into your own site as a page.

Anil I will agree with all your points but Adsense for RSS feeds is something which I will not suggest. Instead I will suggest use some plugins like RSS footer and run your affiliate campaign. I have almost 2600+ rss feed subscriber and I have never seen any good result from adsense.

I think Feed subscriber should be around 10000+ so as to gain some profit from adsense in feeds. Guess How much Johnchow or any other blogger with 45000+ subscribers will be making…Just Imagine :0

I prefer focusing on my websites rather than join revenue sharing forums. Makes more sense to improve the traffic on my website rather than on someone else website right?
Also Adsense in RSS feeds was useless for me. Adsense for Search was very low too..

Maybe the ads are appearing which are MFA or LCPC. Also it could be that the keywords on your blog is having very less CPC for advertisers.

Yeah, the trick is to have more pages of our own so there are more ads displayed and thus we increase our earning potential. But I think it is better to concentrate on ones’ blog rather than other website which pays via Adsense because they’ll only pay a fixed percentage and rest of your earning will go to that website.
