LogoMyWay is awesome. As is the DP contest forum for getting a logo cheap. I’ve found that anything upwards of $100 on there gets you 20-30 decent designs to choose from.

Having a good logo is more brandable and people will remember your site more better. I’m soon going to have a new logo made and new header. I’m thinking of a kind of mascot or character design.

Wow, I am actually in need of a new logo for my blog, but I see you say the minimum is $200. That price is just way to high for me. I would pay a maximum of $100 and not a penny more.
Thanks for sharing this info with us, I think the website is a great way for designers to compete against each other, but they should think about the price.

Reading your comment is makes me aware that $200 is not too big for a people who take a logo design as important thing. That’s why apple company is very strict about their logo.
However, when the business is growth, it logos price also increased.

You will find high rates on most big sites but still there are designers who can do work for as low as $35 per logo design. Mail me, I have few friends who can do it.
You can also conduct a $50 contest on DigitalPoint and get lots of free design work and choose them on your own.

Really, $200-1000 for a well-designed logo is a bargain. What if you don’t find one you like, though? Who gets to define this “flood of quality work”? What if you get 40+ design concepts that just aren’t right for your business?

Haha i’m not sure there is no good logo on that 40+ entries.
And also, after reading the FAQ which state that there is extend policy, this way to get logo is safe and very guaranteed.
It’s recommended, of course for a people who willing to spend $200.

The offer is surely help us to get great logo, and i believe the logo will make us satisfied. But yes, as many people, i’m also take that minimum $200 as a problem. Because, actually, by holding own contest on forum, you can get great logo just for $15, $25, or more based on your policy.

Depends on your definition of “great.” Compare “attractive,” “eye-catching,” “I like it!” to a really effective and almost universally recognizable logo like Apple, Compaq, or Nike.
Now, what were you saying about getting a “great logo” for $200? There’s a lot more behind logo design than just eye candy and graphic arts skills. GREAT logos involve understanding of a brand, marketing, and psychology.
Still, I’m pretty impressed with the samples shown here on this post – and it’s all relative. The average blogger doesn’t really need (and couldn’t even take advantage of) the brand power of the Nike “swoosh” logo. Something eye catching, attractive, and fairly memorable would do nicely – and there are an amazing number of talented, creative people out there willing to work for fun and pocket change. We’re lucky to have them.

What i mean by great logo is just like what you explained, especially about the relevancy with the business concept and brand. That’s why the simple logo sometime more effective than the complex one.
Well, we never know until we try. But i’m not going to spend $200 for just a logo. The only solution is to read testimonial

Yes, pictures are the good way to inform the visitors about the site. First they will understand with the pictures what kind of site is this. Among the picture logo is very useful.
