How To Make Your Blogging Career A Fruitful One

By Senthil Ramesh On Under Blogging Tips

This is a guest post by Senthil Ramesh of NoviceBloggers

It started with web sites once the Internet evolved and I am pretty sure that blogs are ruling now and more number of blogs coming each and every day with many bloggers trying their luck in the field. But what makes it more interesting is, not everyone succeeds in blogging.

Some give up so easily. There are reasons why they give up so easily. These are people who don’t know how to effectively make their blogging career. When we start blogging, if we make sure if we are ready for hard times, if we work for passion and interact with readers, the blogging experience can be more easily.

Here I have shared few of my thoughts with my personal experience by which you can make your blogging career a fruitful and successful one:

Follow and then lead:

All the times, we get into a newer field we will try to make ourselves ahead of others and become superior. This is a healthy thought but you cant always expect it to happen over night. One should strive hard before achieving this in the blogosphere. Better follow other bloggers first, see how they present the posts, interact with readers etc.., to give your blogging a good start. As I started blogging, I look at other bloggers curiously, each and every time. May be this makes me to get inspired more to give more out of myselves.

Taking a decision:

Not all the bloggers, blogging for full time or having it as career. I can see many people and students doing it part time. So when starting blogging, its good to decide whether you are making it as a career, or a part time hobby or just to share your personal or political views, occasionally. Once you make clear on this, you are good to go. And this helps you to create a regular schedule, find yourselves what and why should you write and how to present them for your readers.

Think out-of-the box:

Take this as a followup of the first point. As we have followed the other bloggers, we cant always go in their foot steps. We cant make a good impression if we do so. So after you are good in blogging, make some unique articles, try different kind of posts, not regular ones and give your personal color for the articles. This is the first step in making a unique blogging for yourselves. This can make your blogging experience wonderful and it gets even more wonderful if people starts to appreciate you for them.

Be Dedicated:

This is not only for blogging but it applies to every field and every single thing we do. You must be deciated, give your best to keep up your skills and should better yourselves every time. This can be achieved by making a schedule for yourselves, taking some time to collect resources, network with other bloggers and know more about blogging every day. This can include, making a schedule and following it regularly. You can even categorise days on the way you write the posts. This makes the readers to follow it regularly.

Blogging with passion, and not for money:

Well, this is what the basic advice I got, when I started blogging. When I started my blog on October, and I contact some of the bloggers to get introduced with them and also seeking some tips. “Blog with your own interest, and let money not your only concern”, This was the most heard tip. So, when comes to blogging never make money stand before you. Have your dreams, your aims and goals be at your front and not money even your blog’s niche is make money online :)

Know what your readers want:

Nothing can be done single handed. But you can do it better if you join hands. Though you don’t have any co authors or partners at your blog, you can always have readers for your guidance. In fact, you are writing for your readers and you may not get new or returning readers if you don’t write what they want. Comments are the right place for it. Interact with them, or contact them even personally by email what they expected and how they felt at the blog. This is a very good practise to get into the minds of readers and have a good impression. This definitely can make your writing more inspired and in the right path.

Whats with you?

Here I have shared some basic things and some of my personal experiences. I am sure, SmartBloggerz is a place where many beginners and blogging pros meet. Definitely, everyone has their success story behind them and I am sure they have these as one of the prime factor. But, we would love to hear from you more on these at the comments.

You are so right. It does take making clear decisions and being dedicated.

The is so much information on the internet that it is easy to get pulled into too many directions, that is where making clear decisions has made a difference for me.

There are so many little bumps that make it easy to give up. Staying dedicated and pushing through is a great ability.

All good points. There’s too many websites that lead you in all different directions and promise you money and all they deliver is more products and wasted time. Instead, find out who knows what they’re actually talking about and learn from them and just go for it. Create good content and your readers want to know more about. Comment and network the smart way like crazy. Do what you can to make it. Don’t listen to anyone who says it can’t be done because if you do, well, then it can’t be done.

If you believe in yourself and don’t give up and keep experimenting you WILL find what works for you if you are truly willing to work at it and stay dedicated to do whatever it takes. Above all, even though you should treat it as a job… It should be fun. If you’re not having fun then you should reconsider blogging for money.

Great tips, Senthil. One tip I would also like to add to yours is that every blogger should post frequently on their blogs to prevent their blogs from dying and keeping their blog’s community alive and interactive :) .

Yeah creativity is needed very much. There be a situation when we no ideas come to mind when we sit for blogging. We should not give it up. We have to think creatively and present a article in a stylish way. It may also be an update to our old articles. There is nothing wrong in updating our old articles.

Agree, frequently but still not too much. I find there is a blogger who posting 3 article per day when the topic is make money online..I think it can’t be called as “frequently” but “too much”. Remember, reader need a rest too :P

3 posts per day is too much… Readers will not get time to read when there is very frequent update like this.. When there is a need we can do like tat… But one article per day will be effective

Senthil has elaborate some excellent point here. I admire you for mentioning two point that do not blog for money and next know what your reader want.

Before when I was new on blogging I think only for money, but now I understand that blogging is also one good platform for use our creativity. Before blog for money we have to make brand our blog and our name within the blogsphere.

Next another key point is write what reader want actually from our blog. We should attention on our reader wish and should try to write then.

Agreed, Chandan. When I started blogging, I was not aware about making money in it and I entered in this purely, on my boundless interest. Hence I find no reason to regret taking the blogging career, and gives me a lot of pleasure to blog. Thats why, I stress that point in many of my articles.

Its happy to hear that you blog for passion. Me too like blogging. One who is with passion never give up the work. Its one of the way to express our thoughts to our readers. Through blogging we can share information with our readers and vice versa.

Senthil have mentioned about money should not be a main concentration in blogging… He is right. When we target on money, then it will not be effective…

We could talk all day about the reasons why most people cant achieve success in blogging, if making money with a blog is their goal. But I think the number one reason most fail is they lack the passion or the drive it takes to continually explore new ground and write about it well. And writing about it is only have the battle!
