As every SEO expert would say and it is true, that In order to rank high on Google for a competitive keyword, you need backlinks pointing towards your site with that keyword as anchor text.
Backlinks are also known as one way links which are pointing toward any site for a particular keyword without any “nofollow” attribute.
There are lots of methods to generate backlinks but some of them are slow methods like Guest Posting, Forum Participation but some ways are so quick that they would easily build massive backlinks.
In today’s post, I will talk over 3 Killer Methods that I personally use and which can quickly build thousands of dofollow backlinks.
1. Themes Sponsorship – How I Build Thousands of Backlinks
The first method to build massive backlinks is by sponsoring themes, most specifically – wordpress themes. You can easily find some nice wordpress themes available for sponsorship at Digitalpoint Forums (and it’s the only best place).
Hundreds of new blogs are created daily and most of those newbie bloggers search for “Free” themes to use on their blogs. And most probably that theme could be the one sponsored by you which contains a backlink to your site from the theme footer.
Almost 10-15 new themes are available on Digitalpoint Forums for sponsorship. Most of the designers are well qualified in their work. But before sponsoring any wordpress theme, you must take a look at the following points:
- Is the footer encrypted?
- To how many sites will the theme distributed?
- Does that theme really relate to your website niche? (very important)

Now just imagine if you are a Top Commentator of a blog having thousands of articles indexed in search engines. You would definitely see a great increase in your search rankings.

You probably know what is article marketing and its benefits. But if you go on submitting your article to each and every article directory then it would be a painful job.
But now, with just one article, you could get Massive amount of backlinks. Thanks to the Autoblogging revolution for making this happen.
Most of the wordpress autoblogging plugins like WP Robot, Guest Blogger, WP-o-Matic while fetching articles for a particular keyword from article directory also puts the author box along with it(by default). Since, there had been a tremendous increase in autoblogs in past few months (due to various clickbank products); you can easily imagine how much backlinks you would get with this trick.
Note: Always try to submit your articles on article directories like EzineArticles, ArticlesBase and SooperArticles in order to take benefit of this method.

I didn’t know about the 1st one. But as to the 3rd… Due to google’s panda update it’s not as important as it used to be.. If you really want links added to article directories to bring value to your website then you have to add unique articles.. I consider it worthless to write an article for having 2-3 backlinks…
Thanks for informing us about sponsoring wordpress template I did not know it is existing. I only have one question does placing a footer link can also improve your backlinks. Please let me know as I am placing footer links on my blog yet I see no positive results.
I think* Google has degraded importance of links that comes at the end of source code/website. So footer links are less effective (this is just an assumption) these days.
I wouldn’t say Google has downgraded these types of links, I do a lot of research into backlinks and why sites are ranking and there are plenty of sites that still rank solely on footer links.

Google has recently changed their algorithm to discount links on the footers of websites because it has been used to abuse PageRank. So I am not sure how helpful footer links are going to be. In fact if it detects excessive links, it might even push down your website in SEO rankings.

I’ve not tried the Article Marketing technique but I’ve tried the top commentators technique and yes it works, being on top means having more chances to be clicked upon by visitors. Also, as a fresher I was not aware why and how the wordpress templates were being provided free of cost but later on came to know about it.
All three of these methods are new to me. I will try the top commenter method. Thanks for the info.

Commenting on other blogs can sure drive some traffic to your own blog and get you some quality backlinks. I also use some other dofollow bookmarking sites, forums and article sites to get backlinks. Squidoo really works well as well as RedGage and some others.

very nice method , my strategy for building back links in lightning speed is spy on competitors, I means that using Yahoo Site Explorer you can arrest your enemies backlinks source and you can copy that same!
So if I am following the updates in the comments the first method no longer works? Or it does but in a different way? Confused…
As for the other two I like them. I am already doing articles but I have not heard of the second one regarding top commentators. I am assuming you just have to comment a lot and eventually you will be one of the top? How long is the list for top? Like top 100? Top 1000? More details about this would be appreciated.

There is still no answer for the effectiveness of first method because there has been so many changes in the Google Search algorithm. But you can surely try it out and stop any other link building methods to see its effectiveness.
Regarding your other question, yes, you have to comment that much which will get you amongst the top commentators. Most blogs show Top 5 – Top 10 commentators on their blog and some even show the number of comments they have made till now.

YES, finally got someone agree with me that article marketing is top choice of build backlink.
I may not good in theme sponsorship while i only give free sponsor hosting from them in return to have backlink or banner of our website. I could found that is pretty great and fast to build strong backlink.
I think Article Marketing is the best technique to get good back links, it takes time to work, but if you are e patient and can wait, it will pay off. There is no quick way to do this.
Top Commentators is not a permanent backlink. When someone cross my number then my all backlink going to vanish. Am I right or wrong?
Once a backlink is indexed pointing for your site then it will remain as it is for long time in the search index even when it has been removed. But when Google or any other search engine will again reevaluate a site’s backlinks after some long time either automatically or through manual process and if it doesn’t finds it anymore then you may see drop in rankings if your other live backlinks aren’t good enough to fill that loss.

Another great way to get backlinks, traffic and recognition at the same time is writing guest post and publish them in popular blogs, of course this requires good writing skills or you could pay someone else to write articles for you it certainly pays off in the long run

The best one I would say would be exinearticles.com and articlesbase.com
For #1 you need to be very artistic and if your theme is not very nice, you’re only wasting your time and energy. Cause if your theme is not up to par then nobody would want it. For me, I not very artistic or creative so #1 is out of the question. I would definitely work on #2 and #3 to increase my PR.

A very nice article sushant. There are some pros and cons of these methods. The pros you have already mentioned. The cons of the top commentator is that these links are not regular links you have to keep posting on the blogs to stay on the top so that you can always have a backlink from there. But it certainly is a good way to increase backlinks if you are willing to put that much time in commenting all the time.
As far as the article marketing is concerned, it used to be my favorite technique to get backlinks a few years ago. But after the Google panda update. Most of the quality sites have stopped picking articles from article directories which used to give dofollow backlinks.

It depends on many factors. They DO make an impact on search rankings. Sometimes it will be positive and sometimes it could be negative.
I’m going to look into make a theme. I wish I could find more blogs with the Top Commenters widget. The Recent Comments widget is sweet, too.
