make money online

Learn how to build a successful residual income business website in this post. It’s a guest post by Lena Morrish and Dima Nikolayenko who provides guidance over starting an internet business at their website InternetBusinessBTS.com.

As an important part of your business plan for your residual income business, it is vital that you build a reliable and informative website that will work for you to help you set yourself and your business efforts apart from your competitors.

By creating a user-friendly website that highlights the products and services offered by your affiliates you will have a website that, in essence, works for you.

A Professional Website Is A Professional Reflection Of Your Business

When you are working on the design and layout for the website for your residual income business, it is important that you keep your website on a highly professional level to ensure that you are providing as positive image as possible to both your potential customers and your affiliates.

Don’t forget that your website is a true reflection of your business and the way in which it is operated. Keep it clean, keep it professional.

Words That Count

An often overlooked aspect of a professional website is the actual written content on the site.

You should be certain that you keep your written content highly professional while also ensuring that it is informative and relatable for the visitors to your website.

Consider the addition of a business blog that you can use to share the latest and greatest in business news with your customers! It is important to remember that all of the content on your website should be kept strictly on a professional level; with the only exception being if the products and services that you are representing are of a whimsical or fun nature.

Understanding Your Market Appeal

To help you ensure that your residual income business website is as relevant as possible for your targeted audience, it is important that you have a firm understanding of just who your targeted market is.

By providing a focusing on your website content towards your targeted audience then you are much more likely to have a website that not just grabs their attention but keeps their attention and also encourages new sales.

It is vital for the success of your residual income business that you present your website as being a true reflection of the types of products and services that you are representing. If your affiliates are companies that offer products and services related to the mobile phone industry then your website should be representative of this.

Stay On Track

A very common mistake made by people first stepping into the realm of operating their own internet business is to allow their website design and the content within it to veer off track.

This is very often done by making use of unnecessary animation or flashy graphics that are simply not relevant to their business, products and services.

By keeping your focus on providing only relevant information on an easy to navigate, user-friendly website, you are more likely to see an increase in the positive sales that you are looking for and build up your residual income business.

Nice article Lena. For what it is worth, Squidoo is a great place to make a nice residual monthly income. We make about $300usd per month. Once a lens (a Squidoo webpage) is created, the lens simply makes money month after month. That is of course, if the lens is drawing traffic. Just a thought. :)

Good article. I would also add that you need to have lots of patience and determination. Building a site that generates money takes ALOT of time and effort.

Great article mate…I agree with the points that you have mentioned. The worst thing that a person does with his business is loose track. I think it is important for any business to choose a right track and to maintain it

Nice post, yes you should understander your targetted market, a site owner should know who is visiting his web site and how they got there. Tracking your visitors is important, knowing which of your products your targetted market like most and why is also important.

Thanks

Having a direction while doing business is really a corporate thing to do. Everyone should have it so that they might not loose their track. If you loose it, then you might end up in bankruptcy. Thanks for the post. Your blog is brilliant. =)

I agree with you on the importance of avoiding too many graphics, flash and images. I have experienced this myself with one of my websites. The CTR for most banners is better if you keep your websites simple and easy to navigate

Staying on track is sometimes the hardest things to do. Many times I stop half way through a blog post and have to ask myself whether or not the point stays in line with my websites overall theme. It’s never fun to scrap a blog post, but many times it’s the right thing to do.

Very good article with succint points on how we can be successful with our business venture. I have not monetized my blog yet as I want to grow my traffic and continue to have content-rich articles on my blog before I do my product reviews. It is taking time but hopefully when I do have a shop front my visitors will like what they see and continue to visit my blog.

When it comes to web design, I always find that the simple designs are the bigger money makers. There is no need for all of the fancy stuff if your business isn’t geared around it.

Another thing I do with most of my websites is to have a dark background (left and right side) with black text on white for the pages. This helps keep eyes focused on the most important thing – Content!

These are great tips. It is important to know your target market and try to hit them correctly with what they want. If you are able to monetize your site correctly to can free up more time to expand.

Agree with all the comments re. building a business needing patience. It isn’t a case of “build it and they will come” you have to be prepared to spend hours and hours promoting your site and services.

I will also add building a website on a niche that has less competition. This enables the website to be able to grow and make money in a short while.

Agreed completely on avoiding too much graphics and flash and other heavy stuff. Its good to have them but learn from the most famous sites like google, facebook, twitter.
Thanks.
