So in today post, I’m going to discuss some strategies one can follow to increase their overall Google Adsense earnings:

• Adsense widgets in your websites: this is one of the most known and used method where people use Google Adsense widgets in their websites and blogs. Some of best converting and most used Google Adsense formats are 728 x 90, 468 x 60, 120×600, 160×600, 250 x 250, 300 x 250, 336 x 280 etc. You can increase your Adsense earnings by blending Google Adsense ads with the rest of content on your website.

• Discussion forums: there are many discussion forums available on internet that share some percentage of their revenue generated from Google Adsense with their users. But you must have a Google Adsense account in order to get some revenue in your pocket. Some of popular discussion forums created around internet marketing, seo, blogging, affiliate marketing, search engines and which share their Adsense earnings with its members are: Digital point forum, Work from Home Forum, IDN domain Forum, Domain Name Portal, Nameslot.com, Webmasters Forums, NamePros.Com, Bloggeries Forum etc. So make it a habit to give some time on daily basis to these forums where you will be able to get generate some link love, money and knowledge for yourself.

• Using Google Adsense Search: you can think of implementing Google Adsense search in your website or blog which will help your website readers to find the topics they want to find on your website or internet by making search with the keywords of their choice and thus help you generate more money for you also give better experience to your website readers while browsing it.

• Adsense Ads in RSS Feed: if you have a popular blog with thousand of RSS Subscribers, then adding Google Adsense Ads in your RSS Feed will be a great idea to increase your Adsense earnings to some extent. If you want to try this technique, burn your RSS Feed using FeedBurner as this service is available to RSS Feeds generated by FeedBurner, a service provided by Google.

• Topical pages: there are some highly popular and trusted websites available on internet where you can simply go and create pages about the topics of your interest for free and get some share of revenue generated by Google Adsense ads placed on the pages created by you. Some of such websites are Google Know, Squidoo and Hubpages.

• Social community websites: there are many social communities where you will be able to make some revenue with your Google Adsense ads whether you are sharing a video, image, text or writing your personal blogs. Websites like Flixya shares 100 percent of revenue generated from your efforts. Some other social community websites you can try are Flixya, Xomba, Yuwie and eHow.

Yesterday, Google-Adsense announced on their blog about a new feature on which they are working on – “Category Filtering”. Category Filtering is not a new thing in Web advertising. We have seen it already seen it on popular PPC click site like Adbrite and Bidvertiser. But now the giant G is also bringing it for their Adsense users.

They say that “Category filtering will provide publishers the ability to block ads that fall into specific categories such as dating, religion, and politics. Regardless of how ads are targeted, they’ll be filtered if they’re within one of the selected categories. We’ll also show the percentage of recent revenue that ads in each category generate, so publishers can predict how filtering selections will impact their revenue.”

But wait here is one more thing to remember that they will be launching this feature in beta stage and therefore it will be only available to selected users for testing and to collect intial feedback about the feature.

They also released a screenshot of this new feature. Have a look:

Adding to it, they say – “Although we’re not able to expand the limited beta to additional publishers at this point, we wanted to give you a glimpse into one of the ways we’re working to give you more control over your ads so you can ensure a positive experience for your users.”

According to me it will be a really helpful for Adsense Publisher because they will now have more control on the ads being displayed and probably they might earn more.

I think I might have caught your attention with that Title which was my plan :-/

Those who do not blog completely because they want to earn some extra money often thinks: “Why the hell my blogs revenue so low?” Many people who think that blogs simply can not generate much money. They are absolutely wrong! Blog can generate you the same amount of money if not more compared to any other website. Now I am talking about PPC (Pay per click) sources of revenue such as Google-Adsense here.

The main thing I have noticed is that people tend to concentrate on wider markets. If you are running a personal diary kind of blog in which you talk about your dreams and other gossips around the world; the chances are that there are thousands of similar blogs around. The more competition you have, the harder it will be for you to make some cash.

Instead try concentrating on smaller markets also known as niche markets. Not only it will be easier for you to develop the traffic, the CPC (Cost per click) should also be higher due to advertisers demand exceeding publishers supply.

Secondly you need to have a unique selling point. You need to give your readers something that nobody else does. This should really help you get returning visitors.

Finally it’s the ads themselves. You should channel your ads. By this you will be able to measure your various ad block’s performance. One of the most important things is to Keep experimenting. Try different ad formats, colours and positioning. Run your setup for a few weeks, note the performance and try something different. Even if you think you have found the optimum ad setup keep on trying to improve it. In most cases you can always tweak something to make your ad performance much better than earlier.

Do you know why many of times you get just 1-10 cents for the clicks on your blog?

One of the main reason is because your ad boxes are showing MFA(Made For Adsense) ads. These MFA sites have lots of crappy content or in some cases no content at all, yes seriously.

Any content if present would be describing an affiliate program or product with lots of excerpts of interviews and recommendations from their so called users who have benefited after using their products. Or in some cases you would only see a search box , 3 blocks of Google ads, 3 text link ads with welcome to my site logo in the middle.

Now what can you do in such sitution so that ads don’t appearn on your blog?

The answer would be using ‘Cometitive Ad Filter’ feature of Google Adsense and banning such sites which pay less from your site/blog.

Now how to get the list of such sites which pays penny from their account?

For this I would suggest a great site which gives out a list of MFA sites which you can paste directly into your Ad Filter.It’s name is AdsBlacklist.

So what is it actually?

Well, AdsBlackList is one of the unique project designed to enable you to dramatically reduce the amount of MFA (made for ads) and LCPC (low cost per click) sites which appear through the use of PPC systems such as Google Adsense™, Yahoo Publisher Network™ and Chitika eMiniMalls™.

“Wow that’s great you can also use it on Yahoo and Chitika if you are a member of it.”

How to use it?

1. To use Adsblacklist; just get registered there; Go to My Account; Click on Add New Domain and enter your domain details.
2. One’s the submission of your domain is done; Go to Generate Filter List; Drag any domain which you have added from the list in empty Box at he right side.
3. Tick on MFA and LCPC and click on Submit.
4. You will get the list which you just have to paste into your Competitive ad filter.

In google; you can just add 200 such sites in the ads filter which is their maximum limit which I think they should really increase it looking at the number of MFA sites on the web.

I think by using the Competitive Ad Filter to block out the major MFA Arbitragers, you should see a very nice increase in your Google  adsense earnings.

Adsense is one of the most popular and first choice to make money online. But many times while registering to the Adsense; they don’t tend to read those long ‘Terms and Conditions‘.

So, Today I will tell you some of the important Do’s and Don’ts from those long TOS which you should always remember.

Do’s for Adsense Publisher

1. Try having a number of pages about different topics but related to your website. So, in that way you will have more ads to choose from and can possibly maximize your CTR.
2. Always use keywords related to your topic. Higher paying keywords will mostly but not always give more rewards.
3. Publish more and more unique articles rather than copying it from somewhere else. The more specific the content of your website is you will get more targeted ads on your website and it will be more effective also.
4. Try various ad formats on your website and choose only those that suite your website the best, also try to place your ad block at such places where people looks mostly according to different templates; this thing is also referred as adsense Heat Map.
5. Use Google channels to tracks your ad blocks performance. It will help to make money with adsense in a proper way.

Don’ts for Adsense Publisher

You should never try any fraudulent or deceptive methods for generating clicks on the ads of your website. Some of the methods that are strictly prohibited by Google AdSense are:

• Use of any Automated clicking programs
• Repeated manual clicks
• Using robots(script) to generate clicks
• Clicking your own ads (Google is Smart)
• Tricking your visitors into clicking on your ads by using fraudulent means

Never publish any article or post related to serious hacking, blackhat methods, adult, pirated stuffs and other such topics which are illegal in nature.
