Blogging has become a very common practice with the debut of free blog sites from many organizations. For example, blogspot and wordpress offer free blog sites with which anyone can start instant blogging. Of the above two, blogspot is the most preferred platform of the beginners because of its user friendly interface and easy to customize options.

Moreover there are a number of websites that offer incredibly beautiful blog templates that can be utilized for the purpose in the site. These website templates include a number of gadgets that are useful for both bloggers as well as visitors.

Blogs are not only a way to learn or share things but also a great way to earn residual income. Even if you had started your blog for fun, you still can monetize your blog and make money online. You need not be computer savvy or a pooh-bah to start blogging. There are millions of visitors who wish to learn many a thing from your humble day-to-day experience.

However, if you wish to make money online, you need to select a niche for your blog site. This is what we call as smart blogging. A smart blogger not only enjoys his daily blogging experience but also harvests great monetary benefits.

You can monetize your blog using the following tips:

The most popular way is the Google’s adsense program – Here you just have to apply for an adsense account and include the adsense codes to your template. Once approved, Google will place ads on your blog and every click on the ad will earn you some money.

One other way to earn good money is to drive traffic to other websites. This is called as an affiliate program. You have to place the ad banners of product sites that sell goods online, and if a sale is initiated through your website, you get a commission from the vendor. There are companies that offer up to 40% – 75% of the product cost as commissions.

So Remember, Smart blogging is a great way to make money online.

mm but at current condition, its really hard to earn thru adsense.

last year 7 to 10 click can earn around 5 to 7 usd

now, for the same niche it’s really hard to get 5 usd 🙁

I have sort of moved away from adsense and onto infolinks and other affiliate programs as the payouts are bigger and quicker.

With me, I had joined Adsense, Text Link Ads, Backlinks, and other affiliate programs to make money online.

For me adsense has been doing very good…I was adbrite for some time but I think adsense is the best…

Google Adsense has really lost its luster. 🙁 The money just isn’t there anymore. It’s not terrible, and still worth keeping on a site, especially for beginners. However, I think direct advertising, infolinks and affiliate programs can generate more cash if one utilizes them right!

I am thinking of joining Chitika since it has directed ads based on search items.

Chitika is a good option but you need to have good US and Canadian Traffic for it to work as much as I know when I l;ast used Chitika.
