If you’re able to write unique content, then everything else will be easy for you, however using your creativity to generate unique content isn’t enough to drive traffic to your blog, many bloggers write unique articles in their blogs but they don’t receive much traffic back. I’m listing below some points and tips which I hope they’ll help you.

Find The Hungry Crowd:
It’s about finding a hot topic for you blog. Blogging about something which few people are interested in won’t help you to receive much traffic to your blog. See what people are interested in nowadays, and write about it.

Understand Your Readers:
The more you know your readers, the more easy you can pick a good topic. Ask yourself why the readers are reading what you’re writing and focus on it.

Give Your Article an Objective:
Meaning the purpose of the article. Your readers should reach some goal after reading your article.

Explode Your Creativity:
Create something that will attract people’s attention and make them do what you want them to do by asking yourself what’s new and unique in this article.

Ask Your Readers What Do They Want:
Take the chance to ask your readers what they would like to read on your blog, it somehow creates a kind of friendship with your readers and they will always give you ideas on what to blog about, which is good.

Learn from Feedback:
If you write something interesting, your readers will definitely leave a feedback for you, either in comments or Twitter… Wherever. Learn from their feedbacks and mix it with your article to produce a high quality content.

  1. Writing about the latest buzz and then sharing your posts on various social networks especially twitter can really drive instant traffic to your blog. But to keep them intact and become your readers, you have to post regularly.

  2. i believe even interact with customers also not be enough to get traffic.
Do think of get other traffic from other source and medium.
Try to get backlink from other blog and forum as well.
The highest traffic you have, you able to monetize more from your blog.

  3. I agree that write about current issues and share it in social media/networking will definitely brings a lot of traffic. But, question is, how to maintain those traffic coming in regularly. The answer might be repeat doing the same thing again.

  4. Another good way to spruce up your blog is to check out the hot news topics and try writing about every topic that comes up. Eventually a couple will stick, and you can write more and more about those topics. Keep trying new ideas that are popular and you will eventually have a good one.

  5. If you have a somewhat established blog, another technique is to look at google webmaster tools or search analytics and see what topics you’re showing up for but haven’t written about.

    1. That’s a great idea it’s simple and everyone could do it, I will certainly try it on my next posts, thanks for this tip John…

  6. Yes, understanding your readership is vital to getting better results from your blogging.

Most people create content based upon what they think their readership wants rather than based upon what their readership actually wants.

This is as relevant today as it was in 2009 when you wrote this post.

  7. Participating to social networks and working on backlinks will get you “unique and excellent content” boost and attract traffic to your blog. Every blogger must work constantly on social skills and acquiring quality backlinks. And, if you are little different from other bloggers in your niche you have more chance to succeed. But, without quality unique content can’t do anything. Thanks Oussama on interesting information!

  8. Hi Oussama,

I agree with you. A blog isn’t only unique but more even deeper than that it’s the personality “Who Really We Are”. Our genius is our creativity that we can share with the audiences/readers through what we’ve written. Your article just reminding me that “This world need an original not a copy one.”

    Si Kasep

  9. Writing great content is useless unless people are able to see what you have written. People need to see your quality posts in order to appreciate your efforts with links.

  10. Writers and readers have a relationship of understanding each other. The connection between those two grow the more they read and write. Each person has a responsibility of keeping the other excited. This can be seen as a relationship. If the male in the relationship is a boring guy and doesn’t keep the female entertained, she will leave him and vice versa. I definitely agree with you; and if I come across something that I’m reading and its not very interesting, I’ll would just leave or move on to the next topic. Awesome article though, thank you for sharing.
