PLR Products Can Give Your Blog A Boost

This is a guest post by Laurie Neumann from InternetMarketingPLRContent.com.

Do you ever feel that your blog is a little on the stagnant side?

You’ve written what you can,  but have no new ideas to write about.  And even if you did have a great idea, who has the time to write all these well thought-out posts?  Does this sound familiar?

One way you can breathe some life back into your blog is by using PLR products.  We all know that providing good quality content is of the utmost importance for any business to thrive.

FACT:  You need to consistently provide fresh content to your market.

FACT:  That is difficult to do on a regular basis (Unless you absolutely love writing and have a lot of time to do it.)

The outcome is one of two scenarios. You spend a ton of time coming up with new things to write and let the rest of the aspects of your business, such as marketing, suffer.  And we all know that if you don’t spend time marketing your blog, you won’t get any new readers or even maintain the current ones.

Or… your market gets bored and goes elsewhere if you don’t provide what they need.  Neither are good options!

So, what is a blog owner to do to keep their blog growing with good quality, fresh content?  You could hire someone to do the writing for you, but that can really get expensive, and it won’t necessarily have your voice.  I think the better way is to use  PLR content.

Let’s take a look at how you can use it.

PLR Articles

When you buy a pack of PLR articles, you can:

  • Use them on your website or blog
  • Use an article or part of an article for a new post idea
  • Use articles for a blog series – readers love them!
  • Send articles out to your subscriber list in your newsletter
  • Break them up and load  into autoresponder messages that go out when someone signs up for your email list
  • Put them on a membership site
  • Use the content and make an audio or video
  • Bundle them together, add some information and make it into a report or eBook that you sell to your market

PLR Reports

You can do many of the same things as mentioned above when you buy PLR reports, however, they will be a little more report/eBook “friendly.”  Many times when you buy a report, you are also given an ecover that you can use to market it.    So, even though you should still edit it or add to it somewhat, it’s more of a “ready to go” product to sell.  Create the product and promote it on your blog.

These days, you can also get video PLR, which may be fun to try out on your market, if they seem to like watching videos.

With any PLR products you use, it is always recommended that you go through and edit them, add to them, or change them in a way that will make the content sound like “You.”  Your market wants to hear from you, so make sure anything you share with them reflects your own thoughts and way of speaking.

That being said, as we all know, it’s a little unrealistic to think we can handle doing all the writing ourselves and keep our market happy.  That is where PLR comes in and can be a real help.

Think about those days you sit down to write a new blog post and you have no idea what to write about.  Nothing comes to mind, so you spend thirty minutes staring at your computer screen, then go on to something else and leave your blog blank for the day.

Now, what if you could pull out some PLR articles and use one of them to write a good fresh post?  Your readers are happy and you just saved yourself lots of time and frustration.

Do yourself a favor and pick up some quality PLR products.  They are an inexpensive way to provide some great content to your market.  They’re happy, you’re happy, so everyone wins!

  1. Patricia,

Thanks for your comment. You’re right – PLR does still take some work, so you have to decide where you want to put the effort. Personally, I like to use material that I can claim authorship to (which is why you need to put in enough of your own thoughts) but using some articles (and giving credit) is another way to add content to your blog too.

  2. Hey, first time I really heard of PLR content and I’m a little skeptical – won’t it just take too much time editing it and adding your own spin. In that time you could have just written your own article? Not a big fan of spending money where it’s absolutely not needed either but I dunno – can’t say too much as I haven’t tried it YET

  3. Thank you Chad, Velli, and Sandip for your comments and inquiries. It is true that others will be buying the same PLR as you are. Many sellers of PLR restrict the number of reports (or articles) that are sold, so that is a big help. And, for some reason, many people buy some PLR and never use it at all – just like with anything else. Many people buy ebooks, but never read them…who knows why, but it happens.

We definitely recommend that you change the PLR you buy somewhat. It doesn’t have to take too long to edit it – just add a couple of your own examples or stories, add some screenshots if it would help, do a case study – things like that.

As I’ve mentioned, the main things I like to use PLR for are to get topic ideas and the researched information. That saves me a lot of time. Then I can just do a quick edit and I’m done.

As far as where to get good PLR, my business partner and I sell internet marketing plr at http:internetmarketingplrcontent.com. Some of the favorite other sources are easyplr.com and allprivatelabelcontent.com

  4. hmm, you are absolutely right. PLR products have saved our lives 🙂
I use a lot of PLR reports for my various niche sites and it works like nuts. Also, PLR articles (as you said) helps a lot in getting new ideas for our next posts or guest posts.

  5. I would have to vote that PLR products can be useful ONLY if you cant write the articles yourself. Craigslist is the best resource to find aspiring writers to put together useful and relevant original content for cheap.

  6. Thanks Garish, Pete, and Radu for your comments. I have never used Craigslist for a writer – actually, I have never hired a writer for anything. I either write my content myself or use PLR as the basis for it.

Another use for PLR I like is to use it as part of a report or an eBook. If you have written one, you know that can be a lot of work and writing. So, to be able to insert some PLR in there amongst other content is great. It adds content and lets you concentrate on writing the rest of it. I still change it somewhat, and making it just a “part” of something adds uniqueness in itself.
