Regarding auto posting on Facebook, I can recommend Twitterfeed which also can make auto posting on Twitter of course.
Frankly speaking, I never trust on such traffic. If you purchase a paid up likes for your fan page – I don’t think it will be useful in any cause, as people who have liked your page are been paid to like your page and not in their personal interest. Then why they will read your free links, advice’s, etc you put on your page when they are not going to paid for it?
Jimmy, is right. Creating contest gives you lot more like then in any other way. People hit like button on your page because they want to enter your contest and they stick to your page updates because they are willing to get more such contest.

The point is or at least that’s what I’ve seen and heard, that sites that have bought the first couple 100 likes have seen a bigger increase in new likes then sites that hasn’t bought them.
And I don’t disagree with you or the post that real followers are the right way, but that shouldn’t limit the debate to only the right way only or what.??

I agree, the only point of fake profile likes is to inflate the number of fan page likes a bit, making people more likely to Like your fan page.
Pages with a few likes will make a lot of people suspicious.
Buying Facebook likes is useless not effective. Attract people not buy their likes. Share interesting and informative content ans give them reason to visit your website or blog. I think running contest is best idea to attract people.
in my opinion, creating good content consistantly is the best way over all, dishing it out time and time again may be hard but will reap the rewards in the end
There has been a change in the Facebook business Page Layout and I see that many social media marketers got pissed off by it.
On my point of view, engaging with people and showing them your value is the best way to really get more active fans into your business page.

These are all great suggestions on how to use increase your Facebook Fan page count. I’ve encountered several people who would ask me to like a fan page and that really annoys me so I’m glad you didn’t suggest that. So I think these are great natural ways to highlight your fan page.
There are bloggers or site owners who initially buys their fan page likes or twitter followers so that it can put good impression among real people and they too join them by seeing that many people are following them.
Though I think it’s a good strategy but what if your readers find out that you’ve bought your following… it would be very embarrassing. In place of buying followers you can ask your friends and to like your page and ask same to their friends so that you initially get few following and then start your other promotion tactics like contest or free giveaways.
Unfortunately Facebook traffic is not worthy for general bloggers, because of Adsense and other networks are expects organic traffics only, they pay very less for Facebook viewers.
Running a contest is a great way to get fans – especially if you can get other bloggers in your industry to tell their readers about it.
Remember that quality will always trump quantity. 100K likes from bots is far from being better from 10K real likes. Building trust is key to increasing fans. And one way to do it , is as you stated, to start contests or give away freebies. This establishes credibility and may persuade current fans to promote your page to their friends.
