I am Happy to announce the launch of Commenting Idol – 2 Contest. As I said in my earlier post that it will be going to be bigger and better and I am sure you will believe in that statement after reading out this post.

This time we have increased the cash prize and also have received many valuable prizes from sponsors. Also, this time there will be 2 Bonus Prizes. One will be for “Best Commenter” and other would be for “Best Promoter” about which you will read shortly below.

For Winning Top Commentators Prizes:

  • To Win Prizes being given to Top Commentators, you will have to be amongst Top 5 Commentators of the Month
  • Please Note that the widget in the sidebar is showing Top 10 Commentators of the month
  • You will have to strictly follow the Comment Policy
  • Your main comment should be min. 3 lines long and your replies to other comment could be of 1 line or more.

For Winning Best Commentator Bonus Prize:

  • It doesn’t matter how many comments you made at the end of the contest i.e it won’t matter whether you are in Top Commentators or not.
  • For Winning this prize, you will have to win my mind. The Prize will be given to that person who will make informative comments. It doesn’t matter how much comments he makes.
  • The person will be chosen by me and one can not ask question on the final decision made by me.

I think it was “life-sucking exercise” that got stuck in the language barrier (::plucks phrase off the barbed wire and gingerly drops it on the grass::) What I meant was that if you get all caught up in a contest that requires you to leave the most comments, and you’re competing with people all over the world, in different time zones, it can suck up all your free time.

But making friends and having a fun conversation is the real reward, when comments are moderated and quality counts for something. :D

Which part is unnecessarily? Actually, saying that “I’m participate” is unnecessarily since it’s not required, right? But people do it, because there is no rules forbid it.
Always, i’m based on the comment policy only :)
And in the comment policy there is no point about “unnecessarily comment”.

I think “unnecessarily” post is not like what i do. Comment like “This contest is great” etc…is more unnecessarily, but i’m not take it as problem since not againts rules.

C’mon my friend, don’t push yourself to always make “great comment”, because sometime we’re need relax. And also, this is “Commenting contest”, which based on mostly comment :)

Typhoon, just wonder. When i post a comment, there is unique id such #comment-22684 or #comment-22685 etc….
Haha, it’s normal for any participant to worry if somebody beat them. So i’m always checking on comment id change.

My question is :
If my comment id is #comment-22680 and then i’m sleeping, on the next day i commenting again and find my comment id is #comment-22720. Is it mean there is 40 new comment after me?
But why sometime i didn’t see the change dramatically, when i find there is a lot of change on comment ID?

Akira, I have no Idea about it as I haven’t cared much about it and would advice you also not to look after it much because I don’t know why the comment ID’s are in 20000+ range when my blog is not even having 10000 comments..

I think that is only for this page. Look at the URL /comment-page-1/#comment-xxxxx. Ths means that this no belongs to this page only. So if it ends it may go to next page.

Not participate? I have a tips for participant who a bit late to joining :

- Make 1 comment per 2 minute is good idea for you. 1 hour 30 comment? Still posibble since the comment policy (or i can say it as “comment police”) is so kind :)
- Read the motivation book before your start
- Pray for a miracle :)

Always take a chance by making new comment if there is someone already make new comment. So it will not treaten as double post.

No, i mean, if there is empty space to comment, make a comment. Well, it’s hard for me to explain on english. However, the key is : don’t miss a chance if someone make new comment (in this case, you can make 2 comment by : making new comment + replying that comment)

When I come to know about the contest, I guess there were only around 50 comments in this. But now, it has went to 234 comments. It is going like a rocket and I think when the contest ends it probably can hit 1 k comments making some guiness record. :D

I’m sure record of “The most comment collected in a month” will be reached. But for “The most comment in one article” record, i ever find one article have 1000+ comment.
Well, Day 9 = 300 comment, i hope on Day 20 it will reach 1000 comment. (3times from now)

Well, my experience say that the mostly comment reached on ss101 commenting contest, when 1000+ comment is comes. But i’m sure this SB commenting contest will reach about 1500+.

Yeah..!! I want to explain this since yesterday. I click reply to this comment button for Senthil message, when the page is not fully loaded and then the page is generated again. I fill the comment and click enter, but i find it’s shown as new comment :P and not a reply.
Is it a bug?
