To me, the best use of forums has been in the link value of do follow anchor text.

Recently as an experiment, I changed my anchor text at DP to “Karoke Music” from “Sacramento Weddings”……the new KW’s SERPs are off the charts (compared to last year). I’m still strong in “Sacramento Weddings” so the DP siggy change is not a liability due to that anchor’s presence on hundreds of domains.

When you participate in a handful of “Relevant” forums (as I have attempted to do over the years), you can tinker with the signatures and improve your performance with a multitude of KW phrases over time.

One of the biggest hurdle in way of getting a good organic ranking for any blog or website is “Substantial Amount of Quality Backlinks”90 % of the bloggers can do the tweaks to there website and content and play with the keywords fine … but when it comes to backlinking they are not as good as they should be…This just leaves them with few options … and the easiest of all of them seem to be commenting on other peoples blog “do follow” blogs or the other way around..However, this has its good effects too that now the interaction amongst the writer and reader is increasing as because of whatsoever reason they are commenting they are atleast reading the post and then saying something about it ….
