Social Networking Blogs are essentially blogs hosted by somebody else that you get to maintain. Here are some popular Social Sites:
Let’s take the example of Squidoo. Specially Google; and some other engines love this site. At Squidoo you can put your page called as ‘Lens’ If you see, most squidoo pages gets a very good PR(PageRank).
You can use these pages in many ways for getting traffic like promoting your any blog content or for squeeze pages for any affiliate product.
But please before using these sites always check their rules for publishing any content for promoting any kind product. Well, Sites like Squidoo and Facebook will let you be blatantly commercial since they actually like marketers to make use of their sites, but sites lke MySpace and HubPages won’t permit you to do so.
Also, when you write article on your blog; you can update your content at these sites to announce the new article. Give readers a small blurb about the article, and then give them a link back to your main blog so that they can get the full article to read.
I hope you have liked reading the article and will try thie method for getting backlinks which will also provide you some good quality traffic.
Really cool tip. I would like to say something here not related to topic. Though I explore the archives for commenting, the more I get in the more I understand I know nothing, How come u get to know lot of these?

Hi, I think your article on getting back links via social sites is great! I always thought sites like facebook don’t amount to nothing for back links because google don’t index your activities inside them, but you cleared somethings out for me! thanks bro.
Squidoo is a great site, and I’m sure Google has something to do with them, or just like the way they handle their business. I mean look at Youtube, if you have submitted a video there, Google shows you a lot of love, and then you are set, for juice. I like to use squidoo for the ease of use they have, the way they make your site look and just all the features they offer.
Thank you Typhoon but there is a need to add also that webpages and the struggle to get backlinks is not confined to english language only and Digg, for instance, will not let you post webpages other than english ones and that is a shame, isn’t there a chinese comunity in the US or Japanese or Jewish that would like to read Digg posts in their own language?, being “social” is to “socialize” with others including non-english readers otherwise you build a closed ring of users and that is not a social thing to do, ain’t I’m right?
So nice of you by giving these tips this will help me a lot for my new blog.
When I searched the question in google “how to get backlinks from google” your this post rank on 7th position and your information on this topic is good. This is truth that Google Loves Squidoo Lens and lens gets Page Rank easily. But I am see to shock that “www.FaceBook.com” is count as backlink but this is no follow link. How Google counts no-follow link as a baclink.
Just updated..Maybe it was dofollow earlier.
