If you’re able to write unique content, then everything else will be easy for you, however using your creativity to generate unique content isn’t enough to drive traffic to your blog, many bloggers write unique articles in their blogs but they don’t receive much traffic back. I’m listing below some points and tips which I hope they’ll help you.
Find The Hungry Crowd:
It’s about finding a hot topic for you blog. Blogging about something which few people are interested in won’t help you to receive much traffic to your blog. See what people are interested in nowadays, and write about it.
Understand Your Readers:
The more you know your readers, the more easy you can pick a good topic. Ask yourself why the readers are reading what you’re writing and focus on it.
Give Your Article an Objective:
Meaning the purpose of the article. Your readers should reach some goal after reading your article.
Explode Your Creativity:
Create something that will attract people’s attention and make them do what you want them to do by asking yourself what’s new and unique in this article.
Ask Your Readers What Do They Want:
Take the chance to ask your readers what they would like to read on your blog, it somehow creates a kind of friendship with your readers and they will always give you ideas on what to blog about, which is good.
Learn from Feedback:
If you write something interesting, your readers will definitely leave a feedback for you, either in comments or Twitter… Wherever. Learn from their feedbacks and mix it with your article to produce a high quality content.
Congratulation on your first guest post. Hope to come more soon.
You have written a really superb article. I agree to all those points you listed. Amongst all Understanding your readers is really important because without happy readers your blog can not run properly.
Thanks Typhoon, it is my honor to share a couple of tips on your blog! I’ll try to guest post from time to time. Thanks for this opportunity, I hope that I wrote something people would love to read 🙂
Twitter Tips’s last blog post..Does Twitter Improve Our Creativity?
Thanks again for the guest post. And yes I am sure your article will get a good response and people would love reading it.
I guess I’m the lone Non-Twitterer among this group. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure its great for bloggers, but my static site does just fine without twittering (or whatever you call it).
But Matt this article is not related to Twitter in any way. This is article which tells Why Unique Content Isn’t Enough to Drive Traffic to Your Blog.
I guess you got confused because this article is written by a Twitter Tips blogger.
But No Problem. It happens Sometimes 🙂
this is so true… Because everything has become saturated rght now that good content is not anymore enough

That’s right. With Good Content you have to take a look on those points which are included in this article.
Great Tips. Sometimes the phrase “Content is King” is misunderstood making others think that as long as they have a good content their traffic will instantly boost.
Yup I have seen many blogs which have really good content but there many posts are not having a single comment. Those bloggers really have to think on why this is happening and also take a look on the points carefully included in this article.
Good Tips! I’m always trying to find the balance between keyword rich titles & articles and creating content that people are hungry for. Not easily done!

“Give Your Article an Objective:

This seemed most important for me. Other tips are when you have got enough traffic, but this one is to get the traffic and make the readers loyal to your blog.
Thanks
Hey Usman,
Seeing you for the first time on my blog.
Glad to see that this article seemed important to you.
Some nice tips you have listed above. Some times I visit a site and see a great article, BUT it has no comments. Sad but very true, without traffic then you are sort of writing to yourself.

Thanks for posting, I’ll definitely be subscribing to your blog.
Choosing the topic wisely also makes sense. An on-topic article often gets good response. I often monitor google trends to find new things that I should be writing about 😉
Nice to see that you use the power of Google Trends. But I see many don’t use such great things even it is free.
