Happy PageRank Day ;)

After long time, it looks like Google PageRank has been updated for many web sites. Though SmartBloggerz HomePage still remains a PR4 blog but I can confirm this news because In October month, due to breaking of some rules of Google Webmaster Policy, I had to live with a N/A PageRank. But My whole blog was properly indexed and was receiving Google traffic.

The Rule I broke was that the links were do-follow in the text link and banner ads.

After that, I just went and made all of them NoFollow and striclty added a clause in the “Advertise Page” about this. Then I filed in a Re-Consideration Request in Google and the result was that the PageRank was recived back and now all my readers can enjoy it.

The Interesting Thing which I have noticed in this PageRank Update of my blog is that many of my URL’s which are redirected are having greater PageRank than my blog i.e greater than PR4.

    1. PR3 is I think good for you blog because think you have changed many things on your blog like your homepage is a static page and you are now having a blog separated on a different URL..Looking at those changes, it’s good having a PR3 blog.

  2. Hi, congrats on the pagerank 4, I hadn’t realised the update, I passed from no PR to PR1 on one site and to PR0 on another, wohoo. Lol Thanks for mentioning this, do you know how often is Pr updated?

    1. Nope, I don’t know about it..But I have heard that PR is constantly updating but it’s showing or uploaded to the toolbar only after certain period or when Google wants to.

    2. There is no fix schedule google mention for pagerank update. Just let it as mistery 😀
      Anyway, i’m also got some of my blog not increased PR, but from PR0 to pagerank information is not avaialable. What is the difference?

    2. Haha so the title of this article will be different if posted on your blog, right?
      PR update is mistery, but oftenly happen on 3 month. So, will next google PR update comes January? While waiting, just effort to make your PR back or maybe increased more than before.

    1. Ya, it really doesn’t matter much and even Google have said it now about this that PR won’t affect your search traffic in any way.

    1. Strange to see that it’s still has PR3 only, because your blog is having so many backlinks which is actually more than my blog but still it’s PR3.

    1. Thanks Blaine..I actually expected of PR5 for homepage but it remained PR only. But few of my redirected URL’s have received PR which was very interesting to see.
