After long time, it looks like Google PageRank has been updated for many web sites. Though SmartBloggerz HomePage still remains a PR4 blog but I can confirm this news because In October month, due to breaking of some rules of Google Webmaster Policy, I had to live with a N/A PageRank. But My whole blog was properly indexed and was receiving Google traffic.
The Rule I broke was that the links were do-follow in the text link and banner ads.
After that, I just went and made all of them NoFollow and striclty added a clause in the “Advertise Page” about this. Then I filed in a Re-Consideration Request in Google and the result was that the PageRank was recived back and now all my readers can enjoy it.
The Interesting Thing which I have noticed in this PageRank Update of my blog is that many of my URL’s which are redirected are having greater PageRank than my blog i.e greater than PR4.

Don’t be disappointed. I see that you have just started your blog and commenting..It’s hard to get PR so quick..I wish you get a PR in next update.
Google recently removed PR from webmaster tools, so according to them PR has little to do with the ranking algorithm. Like you, I still use it as a measurement tool.
Its true they removed it from the tools, OTOH they just redesigned their pagerank badge and internal system (which is somehow different from the toolbar / visible PR from what I’ve read) and low PR’s often hit higher SERP. Its all a quagmire to me. I am curious just how relevant the new – old PageRank is now. Either way I haven’t seen a single case where 4+ PR is bad. I suppose that is why I went to read your blog.

I came to know about this from DigitalPoint forum. Getting PR is simple, just build quality backlinks as much as you can.
Certainly Typhoon, I will build a few quality links to get a decent PR. As you’ve suggested, I have removed the pop-up from my Openings4You site — I think I did that successfully. Can you suggest any other measure to improve my blog’s popularity?

Ya, right..New blog don’t get PR so easily..Wait for 1-2 more updates to see a PR for your blog but make sure you also do link building for it.
Congratulation on getting back PR4. I didn’t see any change in my PR. I am quite disappointed but I am happy with the fact that my traffic is increasing and alexa rank is also improving. Recently I crossed 1lakh mark

Don’t worry..Traffic is more important than PR. Congrats on crossing that Alexa landmark.

Happy to hear you got your PR back…I didn’t think Google would actually respond to a review request, that’s pretty cool. I thought it would take as long as it takes for you to be added to DMOZ lol. I moved up one PR, but I’d rather move up the ranks with my target keywords, I’m not too obsessed with PR for now 🙂

No, They actually don’t respond to your request. You just have to wait and see the results yourself..After a week or so, if you don’t see anything happening then you should again see your whole blog properly to make it sure your blog is following all the guidelines carefully.
I have not noticed any PR update on my sites, hope it will be of my advantage this time. I have been getting more links to my forum but seems google does not want it to be more than PR2 🙁

Webmaster Forum get a PR very tough way because there are so many members and outgoing links which passes PR..So I wish you get much more stronger PR in next update.
