SmartBloggerz Is For Sale?

When your blog is gaining success many people knock at doors asking to sell it to them. Same happened to me when Mr.X(I don’t want to Disclose it) told me that he is interested in purchasing SmartBloggerz.com

He stated that he is willing to pay anywhere between $7,500 – $18,000 for this blog which I actually didn’t ever realized that this blog price is set so high. He told me that the process of acquiring the blog will be made from escrow service like flippa or any else which I preferred.

But I clearly Told Him that, “Sorry But This Blog Is Not For Sale for Few Years…”

I am not willing to sell this blog at this point of time because I am currently highly addictive to blogging and can’t let my blog go like this on which I have worked hard for so many months to build it up.

One clear reason which I gave to him with honesty that, I am not selling this blog because it’s getting improved greatly for many strong keywords on search engines whose benefits I really want to experience.

So, guys this Blog is not going for Sale even if someone gives me million dollar which probably no one will give ;0

What do you think? Did I took the right step of not selling this blog? What will you do in case someone want to buy your important blog? Will you give it away for the moola’s the buyer is offering?

  1. Very Interesting.

To be honest I think you made the right decision not to sell the blog. Even though the temtation to sell this blog if i was the owner would be high, I still wouden’t of sell it. I think you have a quality blog and can still improve and gain more success with this blog.

$7,500 is quite a high price. If you did accept, just think about it, you could of invest that money to open up a few new blogs or maybe open up a online business.

It’s a difficult decision to make as $7,500 is quite a temting offer, however this blog is really a quality blog as well.

    Hmmm.

    1. My first thought was “scam!” Let’s get real – how many bloggers will ever see $18K from a blog? Seriously. A very small handful of “celebrity bloggers,” maybe – another small handful of scam artists (first on the draw with some new scheme, before everyone figures out what they’re up to, maybe?) If someone seriously offered $18K, cold hard cash, verifiably and reliably? That would be hard to turn down.

I can’t ever sell mine, of course – it’s my NAME. And you’ve put a lot of time and effort into this; if it’s a labor of love (not just addiction), and you don’t WANT to sell it, then you definitely made the right choice. If it’s just a question of addiction and fun – why not sell for $18K and start a new blog that you can “flip” like an old house in a year or two, using all the techniques you’ve learned and applied to date?

      1. It’s not so easy to create a new popular blog until you are any famous bloggers…And suppose if someone ask JohnChow to sell his blog for whatever amount he wants, would he sell it and create a new blog? I think he won’t take such step as it’s a well established blog and it would take many years to bring back that new blog to the JohnChow level..And if he sells it, many people will disgrace that kind of step and won’t like to visit the new blog as they will think him like a greedy person..

And in the same way, I am not also willing to sell my blog till I am on the web.

  2. I may be in the minority, but I think you may have done the right thing. I began a blog a couple of years ago and when the traffic was high and readership was up, I sold it. Now, I’m starting again on a similar blog with the intention of not making the same mistake twice. Why? Three reasons.

    1. They killed my blog. Or rather, let it die. My name had been tied to it.

    2. I could have sold it for more later.

    3. I enjoyed it, which is worth a lot of money.

  3. But however smartbloggerz is just a brand, the most important thing is the contest. Mr.X who willing to purchase SB, buy the whole of SB include article, plugin, etc or only a domain?
If it’s only domain, just sell it, my friend, you can build new own domain with your revenue from selling SB. And also, you’re good in making contest so i think there will be no problem to start from 0 again, even it’s not pure start from 0 because typhoon = SB and SB = typhoon , it’s just already like stamp and envelope. So when people see new blog developed by the creator of SB, their will come 🙂

      1. I still can’t get it clearly 😛
Do you mean including the article?
However, it’s all ended already. Bye2 $18000 offer. But don’t worry, you can sell it for $25000 on 1-2 year later, even i’m not sure you will sell it 😛
