Those popular article directories get an incredible amount of traffic and people with blogs and websites actually go on them looking for content to use. It’s pretty cool to think about, an article you wrote getting syndicated across many different websites without having to do anything. These are solid methods to build unlimited backlinks to our blog, but Google has changed their algorithm, so adding quality content to the blog is the most important factor. Anyway, backlink does help in ranking a blog, what I usually do is guest posting, guest posting has several advantages such as do follow backlinks, direct traffic, recognization, branding and etc.
I have heard about WP-Robot but never really look into it before, I would definitely have a look and give it a try.

I have heard about theme sponsorship before but I have never tried it till now. Because I was never sure when all those links will materialize and of course there was no way to confirm whether it will be distributed widely or not. Maybe you can give some more tips on this so that people who are interested can judge for themselves whether they are making a worthy investment.
