Thanks for providing tips for link building, I also like to build links using commenting and I prefer to comment on those blogs which have top commentators widget, I don’t care whether I would get dofollow or nofollow links.
I think getting some nofollow links would make all the links of any site natural and natural links are liked by Google as well.
I’ve sponsored a few templates in the past from DP and you are right it can get you 100’s of backlinks quickly and if the template goes viral then you may end up with thousands of backlinks. The majority though are not very good but you get a few that get some page rank and authroity and help your own blogs ranking.
Thanks for these 3 informative tips! Commenting on blogs will always remain an evergreen method of building massive back-links easily. But I am little paranoid about posting the same article to various article directories over the internet as I think it can do more harm than good.
I may have a small problem with being a top commentator: from what I heard, Google may not encourage getting too many links on the same blog or site…in fact, there are rumours according to which it may hurt your rankings.
Never heard about theme sponsoring before. Sounds cool. Gonna try it soon.

If you are going to make money with blogging, then investing some money into your blog that is a great way to blow your blog out of the water.
Top commentator plugin is a great way too, but article marketing I think is going down though.

Awesome ideas, I never thought of the first two. The first one seems the easiest one. However, I do not see how you can control or forecast what kind of topics the websites will be about – that’s virtually impossible.
But despite that, aren´t backlinks on non-related blogs still incredibly valuable?
I don´t see how the topic relevancy would stop this method of being efficient..

your backlinks may not be improving your search rankings or maybe those backlinks aren’t placed on high traffic pages.
