With this post, I’m announcing the launch of much awaited guest blogging contest – “Guest Blogging Gone Crazy“. This contest will give you the ability to win various prizes that includes cash, themes, plugins, consultation, ebooks etc. just for guest posting on this blog along with the various benefits that guest blogging does.

How To Win This Contest?

Winning this contest is simple. You just have to publish a well written guest post and collect as many points as possible. Every guest post published during the contest period will be a part of this contest so you don’t have go into any formalities of telling me that I wanna take part and blah blah..The guest author who collects the most points wins the prizes listed above according to their position in the chart.

The Points System

For becoming the winner of this contest, you will have to collect points and the author having highest points at the end of the contest will win the prizes.

  1. For your every guest post that gets published on SmartBloggerz, you will get 2 points. You can submit any amount of guest post for review.
  2. 10 Retweets of your guest post = 1 point
  3. 5 BlogEngage Votes = 1 point
  4. Every unique commentator in your guest post excluding author replies = 1 point
  5. 5 Digg Votes = 1 Point

[From 2-5 in the above list, I will call it as “social media points“]

That’s it! Collect points and win this contest. But do note here one important thing: the social media points will be rewarded only for one guest post which makes the best in total.

An Example For The Explanation Of Points System

I think most of you have understood the points system for this contest and how you will be earning them. But still, those who are still confused with it, here is an example for an easy explanation.

Suppose a guest author – Mr. SB registers for a contributor account at SmartBloggerz for participating in this contest. He submits 2 articles which gets published, titled as:

  1. How to Blog
  2. Importance Of Blog

Now, for these guest posts which then gets published, gives him a total: 2 x 2=4 Points

Now consider that article – “How to Blog” gets ~ 25 re-tweets, 12 unique comments, 10 blog engage votes and 15 digg votes. So on calculating, the total social media points will be: 25/10 x 1 + 12 x 1 + 10/5 x 1 + 15/5 x 1 = 19.5 Points

Again, the article – “Importance Of Blog” gets ~ 20 re-tweets, 10 unique comments, 10 blog engage votes and 10 digg votes. So on calculating, the total social media points will be: 20/10 x 1 + 10 x 1 + 10/5 x 1 + 10/5 x 1 = 16 points

Clearly, the article “How to Blog“ is getting more social media points, thus only those points will be added to points generated by the submission of guest post i.e the overall total of guest author – Mr. SB for this contest: 4 + 19.5 = 23.5 points.

Now I hope that you have understood properly how the points will be distributed. But still!! if you haven’t understood it then forget everything as you don’t have to worry about it. You just have to submit articles for review and everything will be handled by me.

Some Simple Rules

The rules for this contest are very simple but should be obeyed properly…

  • For earning “social media points” you can’t bribe or purchase something that would increase your chances of winning. But you can obviously ask your friends, take help from your blog readers for helping you in winning this contest but that should be without any kind of bribe like “I will give you some part of the prizes on winning” etc…
  • The Guest articles should be clear in language and must obey the guest posting guidelines.
  • Maximum 3* articles will be published in a day on this blog, so priority over publishing will be given to those guest posts which were submitted earlier for review.
  • Please avoid submission of such articles which are very basic in nature and whose quality suits only the “Article Directories”. Please try giving your articles a catchy title (if possible and relevant). Use images, heading tags and make it creative.

* most probably one or two per day | Max. 3 only if high volume of submission is noticed.

Tips For Winning This Contest

For winning this contest you can take help of these tips:

  • SmartBloggerz blog is suitable for articles related to blogging tips, make money online and seo. So submitting articles related to it could result in better chances over winning the contest.
  • You can also publish some interesting guide or tutorials or tricks which are very beneficial for other people. For example: How To Speed Up WordPress Blog In 3 Simple Steps or My 3 Killer Methods To Build Massive Backlinks etc.
  • For gaining more re-tweets you can submit an article related to “Twitter”. Similarly, submitting articles related to digg or blogengage will get you more votes on those sites thus increasing your social media points.

Contest End Date

The contest will end on 26th May 13th June completely. Any guest post submitted for review after 26th May won’t be counted eligible for this contest.  The result will be declared around 1st June 20th June as I will need some time for evaluating the points.

    i am participating in the contest and just need to know that is there any maximum number of posts limit for each guest post….i think this will keep the contest fair, otherwise the prizes that you are offering can make anyone to cheat in the contest….
    i have already been a victim when i was once on my way to win my first ever contest when a guy cheated and took my place…so just wanted to ensure that everything goes fine

    1. Don’t worry…Only quality posts will be accepted and I don’t think someone would just focus over participating in this contest to increase points as they also have their own blog to care of. So I am just guessing that there will be only one or two guest post by every author participating. And as you might have read the rules; the “social media points” will be added from the author’s best post only.

      By the way in what kind of contest you got cheated? would you like to tell us?

      1. it was a contest where people have to vote for best guest post and one of the contestants voted for himself many times.i wont reveal his name but he was one of the top commentator here also…..
        anyways i need to take your attention to one more thing, you said you will post maximum 3 posts a day…My point is that the 3 posts that you will publish, the one at the top will get the maximum attention and the rest 2 will get neglected…so why dont u take some measure to counter this problem??

        1. oh okay..but since I have removed the voting system which I actually thought to bring in this contest earlier, I don’t think there will as such any big problem..If I found any author using some bad ways to increase its social media points then I will surely be denying his participation in this contest. So guest authors be careful over that..

          And yes, about that 3 posts per day thing..Just read all the comments and you will find my answer to it many times here 😉

I think tushar voting system does not work as much, but social media votes cannot be fudges, because 10 retweets can be fudged , but 100 retweets can be only possible if you have a great article at hand. So i think there is a little chance to cheat here, but if there is, let sushant know,he will get it covered

    1. Yeah, Thanks to the sponsors for the support. Expecting your participation also as I want to reveal a secret here that your guest post really receives lot of traffic and comes out to be amongst top 5 landing pages in Google Analytics for that month. Your earlier two guest posts received traffic mostly from social media sites so you should really think over participating.

  6. Anyways I don’t think 3 articles per day would be feasible I mean. Most of the times, those articles will get very little traction and social media attention..

    maybe one per day would do it since i think the qualifications for the quality of the post should be a bit higher since this is a contest.
