This is the internet! This is the world of blogging and marketing! In the end it all comes down to who remembers who you are and what you are all about.
The importance of branding in today’s world of 900 million people on Facebook and millions of new blogs going live every day… is simply priceless!
In this post we are going to shoot out some of the easiest and most effective ways for you to increase your branding and exposure in the fast paced world of internet marketing, social media and blogging.

Create a Logo for Your Site or Identity
This one is almost a no brainer, but how many websites do you visit on a daily basis that still just have a basic text title. This is fine, but how many people are going to remember your name or site title without having something that stands out.
Creating a logo or mascot for your site can work for you 24 hours a day. You only have a few seconds to leave a lasting impression for visitors on your site. Give them someone they will see, and then next time they see it shown somewhere, they will remember where they saw it first.
It’s all about branding!
Keep All of Your Social Pictures Consistent
With all of the different social networks out there, mainly Twitter, Facebook and Google+, it’s important to make it as easy as possible for everyone to find and follow you.
Using the same picture or avatar in all of your accounts and profiles is a great way to give your audience ONE image that they will remember you by. This also applies to your blog commenting. Use the same images you are using in your social networks, for your Gravatar (blog commenting) image etc.
Mingle with the In Crowd and Be Found on All Networks
While keeping your social profile images in mind, it’s just as important that you are being found on all the social networks and ranking websites. The top players in the marketing and blogging game all have their inner circles of friends.
Make sure you take the time to follow all the top people and sites in your niche, while also doing what you can to make sure they know about you. This can be anything from saying “Happy Birthday” on their birthdays, or writing killer link bait blog posts about their sites or other interesting facts to grab their attention.
To find some of the top players and names in your niche market and what social networks they are on, be sure to join Klout and setup a free account. This is an excellent way for you to pull all of your social networks together, while making it easier for other people to find you as well.
Get Out There and Guest Post
Never before has there been a more effective and free way to bring promotion to your name or website. There are hundreds, if not thousands of blogs in your specific niche that are offering guest blogging opportunities to quality bloggers right now.
Not only can you earn incoming links from guest blogging, but you will also get massive exposure to a whole new set of readers, who may soon become readers of your own blog if they like your content. Don’t forget to respond to all blog comments, as this is extremely important for your overall brand exposure and showing you take the time and care about what people have to say.
No matter what type of business or blogging you are doing online, it’s very important to get the exposure and branding you deserve.
Building an authority blog and gaining the trust of readers and people on the internet takes a lot of time and work. Start increasing your branding efforts online right now.
Guest posting is the best way to increase the brand exposure and the easiest one also 🙂
The first few sentences already told me what I should expect from this blog. The fact that it is a race for getting deep into people’s memories excites me a bit. Through utilizing great marketing and advertising campaigns coupled with the use of some psychology could make you rich in no time! That would have been a great idea had it not so hard to master implementing a blog.
In today’s world it is essential to increase the online presence for staying in the competition. Social networking is extremely essential when it comes to creating an online presence. It takes sometime to develop a network in the social networking websites, however once that is done, the flow of incoming traffic to your website increases. Social networking also provides with a great platform for connecting to a wide range of people. You can perform any of the search engine optimization strategy but make sure that the websites that you are considering for backlinks are authoritative.
It’s definitely important to have a consistent image throughout the web to make sure that your internet presence is unified and not fragmented.
I do have a question though. Do you have any on websites that list blogs that are accepting guest posts? I’m in the HR niche, and I was wondering if anyone had access to a directory where I could find some blogs to share my content on.
Thanks!
Actually all these ways can be used in every marketing business. Just have a look on big companies – they have names and mascots that have changed only a little over the years. They work not only in their own business but on others as well, like charity, social programs, etc. So i guess Zac did a good job to put those tips together and in a simple way. Thank you!
Branding requires a good plan and consistent hard work. Now that you have given us the basics of branding, we must do them! It is easy to get off task, and forget the goal, which is getting your name out there, so people will know, like, and trust you; and ultimately, buy from you.
One wants to be viewed as a dependable expert. Consistency will do that. Guest posting is a cornerstone of the branding process.
“Building an authority blog and gaining the trust of readers and people on the internet takes a lot of time and work.”
This is very true, and I feel that this is the key to blogging. Gaining the trust of your readers, with consistency AND quality of your posts WILL pay off in the end. It’s hard to believe, but blogging (or managing any other site), really isn’t made for the lazy kind.
Of course, SEO and branding, as your post states, do help with promoting your online presence, but they only help, if you have a consistent site, with quality content.
Takes a lot of time and work and I add … a lot of perseverance and focus.
Because managing a blog is a marathon that hopefully will have success.
I agree that brand building is definitely tiring and also time consuming. I would spend a really long time on the logo as I believe the first impression counts and logo plays a huge part of that impression you give. So other than that I also ensure the general image the company portrays is professional. Guest post as you mentioned is really difficult for me as I really cannot take out so much time writing more content for guest blogs everywhere. However I do add quality content to my site for the value added. To each his own I guess?
I agree that having a prominent logo is very important toward creating long term impression and a credibility to a site. Just like brand logos do for product loyality. Try to avoid changing it too often. Many companies like Bugatti for example have kept the same logo from the 1920s until now.
