Why many bloggers give up so quick?

For every new blogger having a his new blog is really an interesting experience. You feel awesome when people reads your blog, people comment and you start getting recognition in the blogosphere.
Many people start blogging thinking that they will be the next Darren Rowse or Jeremy or some other inspirational blog in just few days. But when they come to know that they have not really got anything which they expected; they give up!..phew.

So why it is like this?

  • Lost Of Patience

One of the main reason could be that the blogger thinks that the blog will get millions of readers in just a couple of nights which clearly shows his impatience. They just do nothing in terms of blog optimizing or anything else which could increase it’s readership base.

  • Being Specific

Second reason could be that they only focus only on one specific thing of that niche. For example a blogger starts a blog on iPod’s then he just publishes articles about new iPod’s launched by companies.
He doesn’t thinks anything other than that and when there is nothing to share about any new Ipod launch the blog ultimately runs out of steam.
Instead of focusing on one thing he should actually also talk about things related to iPod’s like Ipod games, software’s and stuffs like this.

  • Only Money and nothing else

Many bloggers give up blogging saying that they are not earning anything, duh! So alternatively they start feeling bored on internet and blames things with which he played on his blog saying like this program is not working or it doesn’t let you earn much; blah blah.

These are the most common things which lead to the abandoning of a blog. The simple truth is that making a popular blog requires time, focus and quite a lot of effort.

So, Take your time and build slowly. You will get your results on the long run

  1. Bloggers should set realistic goals for themselves. They should know when to pursue and when to move on.

        1. We can make the short term goal as a pilar for reaching the long term goal.
          For example :

          Long term : $1,000 in a year
          Short term :

          January – Target $50
          Action planning :
          a……
          b…..
          c…..

          February – Target $100
          Action planning :
          a…..
          b…..

          Just like that 😀

  2. You are right man.. i felt with same bored long time ago when i started my first blog. Always learn from others and write something that you really love to is the main key… or otherwise you will start to become ‘copy and paste’ blogger…

Nice entry and thanks for sharing

    1. What do you mean by copy paste blogger? Do you mean duplicating article, no, don’t do it.
Lol, if it’s about started my first blog, i have unique experience, my first blog only stand for 1 week and then no update again 😛

  3. It is good to read about the possible pitfalls while I am still green and eager. Thank you for the helpful and much needed advice. Lokking forward to finding out specifc things i can do avoid this temptation.

  4. My reason for giving up is that it takes a lot of pain to get authentic content for your Blog, which also has a side effect on my Eyes…

    1. Ever heard about PLR? You can use that.
About your eyes, can you explain more detail? I’m also have a problem with my eyes, it’s -7

  5. When I started blogging I didn’t know a thing about it, what a “popular” blogger profile was, that there was potential to monetize etc. I blogged because I enjoyed it and the perks that came naturally were an added benefit. I think this is why after 1.5 years I’m ready to keep going, building the blog and most of all enjoy writing each day!

    1. Well in the first, i’m planning to delete startingfrom20.blogspot.com since i will make another blog which will be seriously managed by me, and also that blog is not earn me any money. But after thinking and consider so many thing, the blog is so memorable and have a history. I think i can’t delete it 😛
I will not give up to make it updated and become nice blog, even there is new blog (which also created by me) 😛

  6. Very good post because of subject witch, I think, every new blogger should read. Yes, it is true that they all think that they will achieve right away results. And when they don’t achieve that, they quit. Simple.

        1. Business doesn’t mean you aim for money. Start your own business and you will always think to get popular, ur products or services reach people better and get good feedbacks. Similiarly, u write articles and expect good responses from readers who read it and u work hard for it. So this is a business too. Clear Aki?

  7. I agree with all those points, bloggers really need to decide before they start why they will be blogging. If it is for money, then researching the best ways of turning visitors into cash is a must. And remember that Amazon is your friend 🙂

      1. Amazon has an affiliate program. Just Google Amazon Associates and see how you make money with it. You can read Darren Rowse blog as he have published some nice article on making money with amazon.

        1. And just to inform, amazon is not prospectful again. Their also forbid PPC campaign. So, i’m not recommend this program for blog monetization.
