1. Hubpages: It is very unpoliced and they’ll basically allow anything to stay on their site. Don’t forget to link to your website. The whole point of using HubPages to get links is to increase your site’s link juice, and ultimately its rankings. Hubpages does delete hubs and users who do not comply with the TOS.
2. Squidoo: Create a Squidoo page for your website or blog you like. Also include links to your website. It is great for creating solid links to your other Squidoo lenses or blogs because of the love that Google and other search engines shows Squidoo. When you create your content on either a Squidoo lens or blog, you need to make sure that you are targeting the people who would want to read it.

Great list Dev, I found guest blogging and sponsoring a theme a great way of building backlinks for longer time. Sponsoring a theme will give you backlink as well as link juice. Just imagine, if a site has 50+ articles and you have backlinks on all.

Hi. I am interested on buying backlinks. I heard there are some risks on it. What do think? Is it safe to buy backlinks?
Some guys on Digital Point forum try to sell me backlink on their sites. Basically, they own quite number of high PR blogs and you need to pay $$$ to put your link on their websites for a period of time (month/forever). The risk is some websites have fake PR and some may die in the halfway so your link will not be there 4ever as they promise.

I’ve read this blog off/on for quite a while without commenting. I just tried a Hub Page after reading this post and noticed that the links are all no-follow 🙁
Article directories were incredible for PR about three years ago. Lately, with duplicate content issues, I haven’t found them to be the same. In the past a good article could get republished 300-400 times, now people are reluctant.
Item #7 is probably the best way to go though it can be time consuming. Getting a guest post accepted on a good site is a great way to increase PR.

Don’t build backlinks too quickly or you might get sandbox .. I have one site sandbox..basically is over with that site
buying backlinks is not the best of ideas.. just my personal point of view..because your site might end up at locations not really related to your site keywords. at least they do come cheap
