How To Comment On A Corporate Blog To Get BEST Benefits

This is a guest post by Michael Chibuzor from Blast4Trafficnow.net.

Are you a fan of blog commenting?

Off course, when I read a blog that inspires me, I’m always delighted to contribute. Not necessarily because I love the post or the author, I need to fuel my internet engine and traffic happens to be the only way.

Do you know that commenting right can send an avalanche of targeted traffic to your blog within few days? There is a proper way to comment on a corporate blog that bring results. If you want to give this a shot, you need to understand some fundamental concepts about corporate blogs.

Corporate Blog… What Is That?

I have thrown this word around so much, and it’s vital I explain what it means.

A corporate blog is a blog that has its own voice, desperate to solve her readers’ needs and add value with every single post. And also, a corporate blog also has a huge readership and good page rank.

Content Vs. Context

In this information age, we all know the importance of content and often, we refer to content as being king. Well, I have no questions whatsoever. In this era, people are mindful of what they read. If you could offer a shortcut to achieving something; your uniqueness would stand out in the blogosphere.

Content is vital but context is better. The context of a blog post is the way you create your content to match the needs of your immediate and future readers. It’s not all about the length of a post these days, but how much solutions you deliver.

A corporate blog is known for their concise contextual sharing. If you must succeed in commenting on this type of blog, you need to align your thoughts and make it worthwhile.

Alright, that’s all about being corporate and what they stand for.

Now, back to the commenting strategy… Before Writing Your Comments,

1. Read the Comments Policy

A lot of bloggers don’t have time to read the guidelines of a top blog before commenting. I made this same mistake in the past and what did I get –  my comments which I presumed to be decent were deleted? Don’t let that happen to you. The first approach is to understand what the author wants and give it to them.

If a corporate blog allows you to use your keyword on the title, then go ahead and use it. If not, don’t play smart or else you could get slammed.

Sushant Says: Don’t forget to read SmartBloggerz comment policy. Many of you have broken it but I am strict in comment moderation and I mostly drop them or change it in my way which you may not like. So take a minute today, and read comment policy of this blog.

2. Read The Blog Post

Don’t just glance through, you would definitely be commenting off topic. Like I said earlier while explaining content vs context, the posts are filled with contextual highlights. There is no better way to understand what the author is trying to pass across than to read it.

Another great mistake people make while commenting is to read other people’s comment and then follow the same approach. If you ask me, this is not a good practice, because every individual (blogger) understand things differently. I might see the post from a different perspective and that made me to comment thus.

Your image as a blogger is very important – you need to stand out from the crowd and make a difference.

3. Write As Natural As Possible

While commenting, don’t try to get other readers through to your blog. It doesn’t work and I will prove it. Majority of bloggers are already well vast in their various niches. What they are looking for is not the basic information, absolutely not! They are seeking for helpful and a little above the basic. If you don’t know the topic of the post like your next meal, don’t contribute. Simply appreciate the author and ask a question if you prefer that.

Do you know that whatever you do or say as a blogger is transparent? I mean, people can see right through and judge you from that very point.

Do yourself a big favor, write as though you are talking to the author. Don’t forget to use hilarious words and quotes. This is priceless!

4. Be Creative

Just like anything meaningful in life, you should be creative as you write blog comments. Everyone appreciates it when you present a topic from a clear perspective. If you know the topic of the post like you know your spouse, don’t hesitate to write a decent comment. Share your thoughts as natural as possible. I have experienced an upsurge of traffic on my blog by practicing these simple tips. I’m sure these tips are not difficult; you can abide by it if you want.

All in all, a corporate blog is not one hatched out of heaven; they started somewhere before they added that charming “corporate” as a prefix to their cap.

If you persevere and churn out quality content, having the right context in mind, you’re going to join the likes of copybloggers and others soon.

But you must take action no matter how little. Will ya?

  1. Hmmm. I myself haven’t been into commenting on corporate blogs but Im just wondering whats the difference then with commenting on normal blogs and not the corporate ones? Because in commenting on normal blogs, I believe those things are employed as well.

    1. Hi Melvin, commenting on normal blogs as well as corporate blogs is good. But my point is that you should do it with the right mindset. But by focusing on top blogs, you’ll build your reputation faster.

    1. You are welcome Ana. I was wondering why you have not come to read my post right here. Lol! You know how much inspiration I get from your posts. Your tip is well noted and like always, I shall put it to use.

  2. Great reminders, Michael. Most bloggers don’t put much into their comments until they realize how beneficial it can be for their own blogs. I try to write my comments as natural as I can, but am sometimes guilty of reading other comments first. Reason for this is that I don’t want to post a similar comment to avoid redundancy. I want my feedback to stand out and elicit a reply, since I feel that it is a representation of my other online work. What is most important besides reading the post and the policy, is to respect the author’s opinion and not attempt to steal the spotlight but rather help enhance the credibility of the post by leaving a relevant comment.

  3. Hi Michael, I also often commit the mistake of not reading comments policy. It is discouraging to see my comments deleted or not posted especially if I feel that my comment is a big contribution. There are some blogs as well that though they have a comment box, none of the comments are being posted. My reasons for commenting on blogs differ from sharing my thoughts about the topic or just appreciating the author for writing an interesting blog.

  4. To do SEO of my site I only recommend blog commenting.I wrote only relevant comments and always tried to write something unique and got traffic from blog commenting.
From commenting try to know what the writer want to deliver and a commentator should always write in that context.

  5. I haven’t tried commenting on corporate blogs or probably I have tried it but did not notice its a corporate blog. To the author I think what you have said above can also be applied to a non corporate blog or in general.

  6. Thank you Ana
Basically i don’t like to comments but like to read blog, and most of time i spent my leisure to do browsing in various blogs..and once feel attraction to write something on that post.
Yes i feces that problem, i just wrote:yes good post” thanks for nice share”
and obviously my blog was deleted..and then i tried to write some informative post..
And I must say you Ana..your information or i can say it is a guideline is awesome to them who like blog comments or use for SEO.
    Thanks

  7. I personally think that blog commenting is the second most effective way to get traffic along with a anchor text link after guest posting. So, it’s always good that before leaving a comment on a post, you should go through it. It’s really interesting to share your personal experience with others.

    1. I agree with you Sandeep blog commenting is by far the most effective way to get backlinks and as a result traffic after guest posting. The problem is that most people just send spam comments or just wright something like “I love your blog” and as a result their comments are not approved

  8. I’m glad my post is really impacting lives here. You all don’t know how I feel right now. It’s an inspiration to me to start delivering quality content to all. God bless you!

  9. This a very good set of guidelines to follow. You are right, “haste makes waste”, by skipping reading the policy is one of the ways it is most likely to be violated, and then the comment does not even stay.
