Blogging is one of the best ways to make money online. The problem most people face is getting traffic to your blog and making money out of that traffic. Almost everyone knows what a blog is but very few people know how to make most out their blogs.
If you’re thinking of starting a blog, or if you already have one and just want to increase your traffic this article will show you how to make your blog popular and get traffic to it.
These tips are valid for any blogger whether they are newbies or blogging experts. Writing quality content is the way to go and almost the only way to become a popular blogger. Make sure to follow these tips and you will be a better blogger a few weeks from now!
Here are a few simple but important tips for getting traffic to your blog:

1. Interesting Topic
This is probably one of most important aspect of successful blogging. If your blog is about an interesting topic or about a topic which is searched a lot by many people the chances of having a successful blog are high. It would be much easier to get traffic to your blog if you chose the right topic.
2. Customize Your Blog Design
Everyone is attracted to a well designed and professional looking blog. For many people even if you put up a great content but your blog looks boring they are unlikely to return or spend much time in your blog. A professional looking blog can help you get traffic to your blog. You don’t need to spend a lot of money for this and can get custom templates for reasonable prices for your blogs.
3. Blog Commenting
Blog commenting is one of best way to increase your blog ranking and improve its performance. You just need to find blogs related to the things you want to blog about and then make useful comments on them. This can be a powerful way of getting traffic to you blog. Try and say something interesting and make them want to come see what else you have to say and this will get more visitors to your blog.
4. Listen And Talk To Your Readers
Most blogs fail because the audience views and opinions are not listened to. If you are serious about getting traffic to your blog you should try to listen and talk to your audience. If a person has visited your blog and left a comment you should at least try and thank the person for that. If a person leaves a comment on your blog and the next time he visits he finds that there is no acknowledgement for it he may move away and never visit your blog again.
Interacting is really important because if you don’t interact with them, you won’t feel like a real blogger.
5. Post Frequently
Don’t just blog once a week and expect to get traffic to your blog. Try to post at least once in two days if not daily. This will help to keep your readers entertained and interested. So posting regularly is also a great way to drive traffic to your blog.Posting often has been proven to increase your blog’s RSS subscribers. It will have a positive impact on your blogging experience and more people will read your content and even share it.
Blogging is a great way to make money online but it can be only possible when you have sufficient traffic for your blog. You can use the above mentioned tactics to help boost traffic to your blog and increase your earnings.

Nice post, another effective way to get more traffic and succeed as a blogger is to network with other bloggers on your niche, this can be done by guest posting on theirs blogs, blog commenting and sharing each others posts on social media or even better they could mention you on on their posts
From my experience I’ve noticed that when I stop writing new posts traffic decreases a lot. So frequent writing is very important. Yes, interesting topics helps a lot for getting quality traffic.
Exactly Plaban! It’s that simple really, people will keep coming back to your site when there is new information continuously being updated on your site.
It is just like it has always been content and consistency is king when blogging and dealing with social media! Thanks for your recommendations!
Sometimes some bloggers focus too much on item 1 but item 3 is equally important especially to starting bloggers. I say this because no matter how good your content if you don’t put it out there, through means like blog commenting, chances are it will never see the light of day. I most times fail in this regard as well due to time constraint but I am trying to change that.
I do believe that posting frequently is key, but posting with the same consistency is also a huge deal in my opinion. Its never fun from the reader standpoint to visit a website and see no new posts for weeks, at some point the reader will give up checking for new ones.

Good post, I think design and fresh content are the two most important points to take out of it. Good, clear and uncluttered design is important so users can find what they are looking for quickly and easily. Also people always like to see a blog is up to date with recent posts.
Keep up the good work
Nice tips, I think you missed guest blogging from the list 🙁
Interacting with your readers is great way to get and sustain traffic. It helps a lot in growing your blog’s community.
These sure are very good points on getting traffic to a blog! When I started my blog, I spent one month deciding on the theme and customising its look. Don’t know if I succeeded but it sure is an important part of getting traffic.
Great post Fazal!
I would say that creating really in depth blog content is much more important than blog frequency. I actually think it’s ok to post less often, so long as you are writing really good quality posts. You’ll find that posting daily can often lead really quickly to burn out and lower quality posts as it is. Lower quality posts can really negatively impact traffic.
